Love it, the sooner more people refuse to pay Arsenal's ridiculous prices, the sooner they have to drop them

We'll beat City anyway, they are always shite when they come to us

And to think Lord Arsole has the cheek to go on about the "dizzying" prices in the transfer market

Games like this is where the new pricing 'strategy' comes falling down. We're not in any kind of competition with City in the league, have no historical rivalry with them unless we're still angry about them massively overpaying us for overrated players. You can't just build a team that is not even strong enough for the arsenal PR machine to pretend is in a title race and then expect us to pay prices as if this were a title race clash.
Now, it's pretty obvious to me as a cash strapped red member who has to ration his visits to the Arsenal which game to give a miss. I've still got my ticket from the postponed west ham game, thats enough for me for a while I think.

Isn't West Ham Category A too?LDB wrote:Games like this is where the new pricing 'strategy' comes falling down. Edit: It was a category A a couple of years ago but they couldn't even justify it under the old pricing structure, the stadium would be empty if they tried it now.

They swapped it for Citeh.northbank123 wrote:

And as LDB said, they'd really struggle to shift West Ham tickets if it was cat A under the new ticket prices.

Ahh okay. My Dad thought about getting an extra ticket for the Boxing Day match this year but the club wanted something actually ridiculous for one. I can't remember the exact figure but my jaw figuratively dropped.LDB wrote:Nopenorthbank123 wrote:Isn't West Ham Category A too?LDB wrote:Games like this is where the new pricing 'strategy' comes falling down. Re: MAN CITY THREAD
£62 quid is simply obscene, daylight robbery.
Are any non season ticket holders from on here actually going?

Re: MAN CITY THREAD
£62 is fair game for a category A game IF and WHEN the club is reinvesting its profits into the first team squad. I'd have no problem paying it if we had a David Villa up front, Fabregas in midfield etc. This is what I've been saying for ages and after a long period there will be a major correction and people won't pay to watch a team labouring alongside Everton in the league sell its best players every year and charge fans top dollar for second rateofficepest wrote:£62 quid is simply obscene, daylight robbery.

I'd have no problem paying £70+ if we were watching the football of 1998-2004 or even the football of 2008 with two or three additions that would have made us genuine title and possible CL contenders
Let the model implode and we'll go back to some form of normality in the future
Re: MAN CITY THREAD
This. I wouldn't have a problem paying it if I felt the money was going back into giving us the best possible chance on the pitch but that's quite obviously not the case.SteveO 35 wrote:£62 is fair game for a category A game IF and WHEN the club is reinvesting its profits into the first team squad.

Re: MAN CITY THREAD
That's the problem we have, not one single member of our current squad would have been anywhere other than on the bench if transposed to the '04 squad, and yet we're supposed to pony up eye-watering amounts to attend now.SteveO 35 wrote:£62 is fair game for a category A game IF and WHEN the club is reinvesting its profits into the first team squad. £62 is not acceptable, full stop. Either in the champions league, cup finals, league games. Top of the pile or dogshite... £62 is taking the piss!
Re: MAN CITY THREAD
As much as |I think the club's highest pricing is a joke, it'a a bit f**king rich for a club bankrolled by Sheik Manpetrodollars to talk about being priced out of away tickets.
We paid £50 for relegation fodder Spammers 2 seasons ago. Whilst Shitty fans were being charged £30 4 years agofor the Grove, I remember paying 52 f**king pounds to go to that s**thole of a stadium called the bridge. And it's not just them. Bar one or two of the north west teams the cost for going to away games is a f**king rip off.
It's a bigger rip off in London because let's face it everything in London is a rip off.
I do not give a flying f**k how much away w**kers get charged as most away dayers on here know it's a con going away as a gooner anyway.
I do care that we as home fans get ripped off...but I'm sorry if Shitty fans want to pay less then ask Sheik MaMoney Bags to subsidise it, otherwise shut the f**k up you polish celebration stealing,title-buying,d**khead bad-boy indulging northern tw*ts.
