Likewise Sneijder is on huge amounts of money and that is not a good omen. If he comes over I reckon there is no guarentee he will bother to try that hard esp when he knows he wont win anything. I would of liked us to have signed Demba Ba. Think we missed out there. Hell we could of got him for free 18 months ago. That's inexcusable really.
Thats because "we dont sign injury prone players, we make them"

Liverpool FC: Brendan Rodgers looks to offload Nuri Sahin

http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/liverpoo ... -32570280/

Liverpool are able to cancel the loan during the January transfer window but only with the agreement of both Sahin and Real Madrid.

The Spanish giants don't want to recall him but are understood to be frustrated by his lack of game time and would be happy to see him move to another club this month.

Because he didnt work out at the bin dippers ? :? Seriously ? Just cos he hasnt worked out playing with that shower of shite dont make him a bad player. As it goes I dont know if he would be good enough or not but my impression (from limited viewing I should add) is that himself and joe allen are similar players looking to do the same job so it wouldnt have worked out then.
I should add that david villa is only a sub for barca but he would improve our team by at least 50%

If he can't get in ahead of Joe Allen then that tells its own story...

Just another player like Dempsey who people were livid we didn't sign but has ultimately failed to perform to expectations at his new club. I very much imagine we'll be adding Holtby to that list in a year or so.

But surely different systems suit different players so maybe the scousers system dont suit sahin ? I will say with total conviction that dempsey would have been a great buy for us and would totally have suited our non tactical formation

Of course, just because he failed there then there's no guarantee he would have elsewhere. Especially given that Brendan Rodgers is such an arrogant, conceited wanker who thinks he's God's gift to footballing purists that he thought that Andy Carroll had nothing to offer to that Liverpool squad, just because he doesn't rate him doesn't necessarily mean he's not good.

But imo it's just another example of fans complaining whatever the outcome. Had we signed Sahin and he had flopped (as appears likely) we'd no doubt have had many of the same people who were absolutely furious that we missed out on him complaining that Wenger was wasting huge wages on another ultimately unproven injury-prone player.
