Bayern Munich away tix travel pubs

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Just booked at the same hotel, £58.36 for a double room.
We could share a cab? I'm staying with a mate, does anybody know what the taxi prices are like over there?

Got a call from Monarch today saying my flight to Innsbruck had been cancelled, i've been swapped to the Monday Munich flight which now means Monday - Friday in Munich on my tod, going to be bored out of my head.

I'm still planning on a night in Innsbruck though since i have a hotel booked there for an evening. Can anyone recommend another place i could spend a night to break up the week? Is Salzburg worth a visit?

Perhaps the 'Tirolgooners' from Austria might be able to give some appropiate info?

Salzburg is gorgeous. Could also do a bit of 3rd Reich tourism and go to Berchtesgarten, Hitler's fav place. Could do a bit of skiing too.

Dachau Concentration Camp is only 30 mins away from Munich:

Slightly further afield, fairytale like Neuschwanstein castle:

Thanks lads, i'll start looking in to those suggestions and see what i come up with.

Out of interest, is Neuschwanstein castle where they filmed Where Eagles Dare? It looks very similar.

Can't remember that being mentioned when we were there. Lovely place though....albeit not your average fayre for a football away trip  !

Another option that we have done as a family is the Sound of Music tour in Salzburg....but I wouldn't dare mentioning that on a football fans forum  :D !!

I'd love to go somewhere that had an oompah band and those big steins of strong German lager.... Might even give the lederhosen an airing  !
