I thought we were good and ceretainly upped the tempo in the secong haf and created 7/8 clear cut chances. On another day with a bit of luck and more composed finishing it would have been a rout.

JW was class, Caz was busier than the last few weeks, back 5 looked reasonable and thought Gibbs had a good game.
Diaby was better than the weekend ( which was not hard).

Would like to see JW play that AM role a lot more as I think he is far more direct than Caz.

:barscarf:
thought we played well too just in a dire need to get another forward maybe someone like Ba .

Agreed with the last few posts. This was a half decent performance against a team unbeaten in 7 after a really slow start. Back 5 largely untroubled. Coquelin and Diaby played ok and added something different. Carzola was busier than he has been and JW was superb. In a way I think Walcott and Giroud's terrible performances could be a good think as it is becoming glaringly obvious that we need to buy a quality striker.

First half was piss-poor but second half was better, if we had a good striker we'd have caned them. Created so many clear-cut chances.

In the unlikely event that we beat Swansea, I'd planned that we'd go to Brighton direct from Bedford by train. But I notice that its a bus service from Three Bridges....!!
Book your tickets lads we're through.... Its going to be piss easy tonight swansea are well over-rated

Watched bits of the 2nd half in the pub tonight (was out playing footie myself) and from the bits I seen we seemed to create a few chances albeit that we missed all bar one of them   It goes without saying that our soon to be 100k per week central striker was at the heart of most of those misses but then again he is a huge player for us nowadays

Jack wilshire is gonna be a star and hopefully it's gonna be with us - apart from his goal, some of the touches and vision stood him miles apart from everyone else on the pitch 8) :barscarf:

Btw itv highlights programme has just highlighted the huge amount of empty seats in the bowl tonight - they actually also mentioned the official announcement figure from the club and how much it differed from reality

Jack is top quality, he's a player with massive potential and unlike some of our other wimps, puts up a fight and actually gives a shit. He deserves to be part of a better Arsenal team than this generation of Arsenes vanity project.

Good performance aside from the finishing.

Hope you all don't mind a wee rant about ManUre here, Rooney MISSED a penalty, however it was described as an 'impure kick' by the saf loving media providing coverage of the game. The fat *word censored* MISSED :cussing:

Media are always happy to grant that shit club a get out, that's why I hate them :banghead:

What the hell is an impure kick? Does that imply that it was contaminated somehow?

Overall - I had the shittest stream until the second half, where Theo contrived to miss a couple of great chances and Giroud - well, I think that he just isn't going to be that type of a clinical finisher that we want.

I did like to see that Wenger shifted Cazorla to the wing to accommodate Diaby, who did well, I thought. Chelsea up next - time for an injury?

Coquelin also played very well. Of course, Jack was excellent.

We were very poor up front, both Feo and Giroud were ropey, but they kept trying, so that was something... and in fairness Feo was unlucky - hit the post twice. And Giroud's ball for Wilshere's goal was quality. Apart from that though they were both pants really. Cazorla looked a bit hungrier and sharper than in previous games and Gibbs played well. Coq was ok, mixed bag really, couple of good tackles, couple of good passes, couple of shite passes - he deffo needs a run of games.

Sagna's confidence on the ball is shot to shit. He refuses to take people on, just turns around and looks for the pass back so often. What is up with him? He has quality, proper quality - but he looks unhappy and demotivated. Maybe Citeh or the chavs are quibbling about his wages for next season? Arsene knows.

Diaby is still not match fit but he showed glimpses of what he can do going forward. If we could keep him fit for a full season he'd be an immense player for us. Of course he'll air kick one on Sunday and go off injured at half time and we'll see him again on the opening day next season after he signs a 5 year contract extension during his rehab that'll put him on £100K a week. Arsene knows.

Wilshere though. Fucking hell. He is back to his best. He isn't pacey as such, but he has that natural burst of acceleration over 5 to 10 yards that takes him around people so easily. He was at the heart of everything good last night and his finish was quality. His passing, movement, vision, attitude, technique is so far above everyone else at The Arsenal it's frightening.

He is going to be a fantastic addition to the Man utd squad next season. Fantastic. :( :x

Arsene knows.
