WALCOTT - which position is best etc?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

wally is tripe hype...why anyone would think he's worth the bother is beyond me...he always runs AWAY from the action (on purpose imo) and hides behind defenders....never shows for the ball and always looks like he's bricking it coz he knows his crap skills will make him look a mug...and make his wage demands look as ridiculous as they are....the bar has been lowered so far for him at AFC that after years of fuck all much, people think he's needed

Am surprised that there hasnt been much attention put on his "talent" for being frequently caught offside :o It reminds me a lot of greedybayor's last season at the club  :banghead: :banghead:

Walcott is class and needs to play CF. Forget the Swansea game they defended like warriors and Theo did miss a sitter but overall he has been deadly in front of goal. We have nobody else either.

I'm struggling to gauge the seriousness of this post

Arsenal fans are quick to cry when we see the likes of Bendtner, Chamkah, Vela, Gervinho play in the first team and perform dire but are quick to diss the one player with pace and who has improved loads this season. Without Walcott we have Giroud and thats it. No pace and not exactly Van Persie is he.
Its all a load of bollocks anyway because we were dead the day Van Persie left. Walcott is our next best forward but miles away from the great one who we sold. Nothing else to say

Agreed mate 100%. If Walcott had left we all know that the best we'd get would be either an 18 year old from the Championship or League One, or worse still a 'new Gervinho' that Wenger plucked from some provincial club in Ligue 1 on the back of one decent season.

But don't you be saying that Giroud isn't exactly RvP or the Donkey Police will be round to tell you its not his fault. You can call Diaby a *word censored* for not being the new Vieira, or Ramsey for not being the new Cesc, or TV5 for not being the new Tony Adams....but don't you be picking on our wonderboy from Montpellier. He's only 27 so years to come good yet, and he just needs time to adapt like Park, Vela, Denilson, Gervinho, Bendtner, Chamakh and Fabianski, and then he'll be as good as all of them. I'm telling you now, inside that arched back lump of paceless dump is a world beater waiting to get out

BREAKING NEWS: Sky sources understand that Theo Walcott has agreed in principle to a new three-and-a-half-year deal with Arsenal. We will bring you more on this story shortly.

Ok - Great. Can we actually enter the transfer market now?
