WALCOTT - which position is best etc?

Anyway he's still our leading scorer, so until everybody's little darlings "100 cap Poldi" and "he puts in a good shift Chapman" come good, what does it make them?
They'd have more goals than him if they weren't shifted to the wing or left on the bench to get Theo to sign(or if he'd put in some decent crosses).
Hopefully things will change, starting this weekend.

When Theo starts taking control of matches, starts running the show, scores important goals in big games, manages to swing a corner in that misses (or reaches!) the man at the front post then he might be worth his money. Until then he remains a nice guy who doesn't quite deliver. If I was Jack or Santi's agent though, I think I would be back at AW's door with a few questions about their wage deals - Theo £100k really??

I'm not buying that argument. Giroud's had enough crosses placed on to his '50 pence Senderos head' and usually can't get the fucker on target. Watch the first cup game at Swansea.....Gibbs places a beauty on his head and the useless fucker can't even find the target from 8 yards. In the replay Walcott sticks a corner right on his nut and all he succeeds in doing is making the ball boys busy. Honestly, he's not even good at heading the thing. A 6' 4" centre forward who can't run, has no control, can't finish or head the ball. Genius - €14m that will do nicely

Poldi has been shifted out wide but not Le Chapman.....he's been played in the centre forward role every time he's played and apart from a couple of cameos off the bench against Reading in the cup, and Newcastle when they were already losing, he's been absolute fucking turd in practically every match

We'll see how well we get on with Podolski and Giroud up front when he leaves Walcott out or he gets injured.

I think its time to leave it to Mr Walcott to play well and silence the boo boys. In the tough games he gets little or no service so watch out for that before you post negative comments on games he does not score in.
I believe he will do very well thankyou just not as well as Van Persie. I guess we have to live with what we have and enjoy the odd good win because we cant win trophies unless there are more signings.

Time for potential talk to stop, Theo is now a well paid International footballer. That means doing it more often than he has done. He has to man up now , because he is now a man. Time on his side and potential are now words from the past.

Forget about comparing him to rvp cos one is a striker and one isn't so maybe comparing him to Freddie or bob pires might be more apt.
Anyway at this stage he has signed his mega deal so we need to move on from that - it is down to him now to bring a level of consistently good performances to his game in order to justify this deal cos big pressure comes with big money

This is where I agree with Augie. All well and good him using 6 months and the climate surrounding the higher profile recent departures to get his big money BUT now he has got to accept the added pressure he has brought on himself and deliver value for money over the season.

I'm just glad I don't have to wake up to comment after comment from Wenger saying "I'm 96.3333% recurring ssure that Theo will sign", it was getting very tedious.

Look, he is no way worth £100k p/w but what could we do, let another one go for free? It reminds me of the last contract we gave Henry, he was quoted as saying "I've never played in Spain, and now I never will". Soon after, we flogged him to Barca - I think a similar thing will happen to Walcott.

We've signed him up so we can get an inflated transfer fee for him at a later date.

I agree with the comments regarding the pressure now being on him. He has talked the talk....now its time to deliver. He needs to be one of team's top performers on a very regular basis after this i.e. JW10 type performance level

Please let this be true. And hopefully the sale is sooner rather than later.

Augie how could you read into this that I was comparing him to Van Persie? I actually said he will not do as well as Van Persie. Anyway lets hope Theo shines because our club need him too
