Wenger believes that when he is at his best, Diaby gives the Arsenal midfield a whole new dimension.
“He can defend, he can attack, he is strong in the challenge,” he said. “He can dribble, he can pass players. He is very quick in the transition. He can quickly cross the pitch when you win the ball. And he is good in the air and he is a fighter with great stamina.
“If you love football and you see a player like Abou, you want him to have the career he deserves, especially when he has the attitude that he has. You have to have patience. Because what did he do wrong? Nothing. You have to give him a chance.”

Agree 100%. I'm not sure how people can't see that when the fella is fit (OK, OK, we all know that isn't anywhere near often enough) he is head and shoulders above everything else on the park in terms of pure skill and technical quality. He sees things other players can't and leaves people for dead - something only JW10 from the present squad is near capable of doing.
Wenger's right about 'what did he do wrong'. Its not like he's a player who has played a whole season in his favoured position (hello Arshavin and Ramsey) and been shite every week

Small but important amendment.
Yes if we're twatting Reading he is more than capable of doing that

C'mon now. I know he's been knackered for a bit but he is a Prince.

Part of me doubts our medical team have handled his injuries as correctly as others might, but I always think its a shame to see a clearly decent player whose career has been derailed by injury after injury.
The greatest shame is that he has spent so much of it at Arsenal. Wenger talks as though we owe him something. We owe him nothing. He has never delivered for Arsenal and never will. Get him out.

Fuck right off!!
As his bottom lip collects dog ends from the ground as he lolls around the pitch, his pea brain clunking thoughts around such as.....shall I turn a complete circle again next time I get the ball........Diaby sums up the type of footballer Muppet Wenger likes to sign......injury prone, thick, inconsistent, no particular position, thick, overpaid, underplayed, did I mention thick?? Truly one of the most braindead players I have ever been unfortunate to see in an Arsenal shirt. Shouldn't be within a million miles of the Emirates because he should have been dumped 4 years ago but no, Wenger has to 'buy' loyalty from his French pussies. Diaby will be out injured within the next 5 games. Fact!

What the fuck is a fit Diaby? He's body is made of straw.Owen Hargreaves had the same injury record at United as Diaby. Is he still at United? Thats the difference between Wenger and Fergie.Sums the management of Wenger up in the last 7 years
Totally agree with the last 3 poster's comments, it's typical that only now at our club can we collect and secure shit players like Walcott, Diaby and Roshity on contracts but let the class player's contracts run now and then they go... just fucking typical... also some shit comments on this article at the bottom (well apart from one of course)

Like reading poetry. And we should never forget his admission about the tottingham shirt. No respect for the Club or supporters. A loser to the core who is overpaid and underworked - like so many others at Wenger's Arsenal.

Totally correct. But Wenger loves his boys to love him - and of course they do because they know that they can fail season after season and still be rewarded with new contracts and big fat pay deals by the ‘father figure’. On the other hand, Ferguson's players love him because he is a winner and as a result they become winners too.

I believe Hargreaves spent three years effectively injured for the main part at united playing only a handful, if that, number of games during that last few years before he went. So yes, he has left united but it was not a quick decision in anyway.
