Give Sagna his wish and let him move on.....
He was an absolute joke in the first half today, and he's been poor all season. HIs defensive positioning is almost non-existant and he makes no real effort to track back when needed.
He cant defend and quite frankly its pointless letting him go forward because he cant put a decent ball in the box, so he doest cut the mustard for the new breed of attacking wing back.
More than anything though its his effort levels, he hardly ever breaks out of a jog and its today he pretty much gave up every time a player went past him.
It been like that almost every time he's played this season. His body language is that of someone who doesnt give a shit.
Sell him. Now.

Knowing Wenger, he will play him until he goes, probably upto the day before and give him the armband for the game also, that's what this Wenger does these days...

He's been poor all season... Just wonder though whether we can afford to lose him at the moment. Maybe if everyone was fit, yes. But we don't exactly have decent cover.

I was just about to start the same thread!! He has been at fault for a number of goals in the last few matches and to be honest looks uninterested in playing.
Given how well Jenkinson had been playing I would have expected a change to be made. If Jenkinson had put in these lame performances at right back he would have been dropped after one game!!
Time for the change to be made for the good of the team

Well. What with Walnut signing a short term deal that will keep him with us until the summer, then a hapless Sagna angling for a move to one of the big boys too, (his useless displays and attitude point to this). We only need Vermaelen to get all cosy with the Barcawhores again, and that will cover the contract extension for Le Prof until 2020. Oh, and add into that a big bonus for uncle Ivan too.
After that we will see Cazorla and Pod losing heart, and then Jack and Ox get their heads turned by big spending, championship winning Mancs.
There, job done. Thanks Arsene.

Still can't get my head round how a guy who does nothing but play football for a living still can't beat the first man with his cross after 4 years.

Oh he has beaten the 1st man a couple of times, remember those times he actually beat his man, got his head down at full speed got into the corner and crossed into a 16yard box, where the closet arsenal player to the goal was 50 yards away.MM99 wrote:Still can't get my head round how a guy who does nothing but play football for a living still can't beat the first man with his cross after 4 years.

Any suitable replacements in mind?
Do city sill need Richards?
We're linked with that *word censored* from Barca.

Not surprising when he has no future here. RIP Arsenalnorthbankbren wrote:He was an absolute joke in the first half today, and he's been poor all season. HIs defensive positioning is almost non-existant and he makes no real effort to track back when needed.

To start with Id just stick Jenkinson in straight away, nowhere near the finished article but his effort levels at least would surpass sagna. RIchards as a straight swap, Id do, Richards isnt great either but he is a work horse.LizLeGooner wrote:Any suitable replacements in mind?

You know full well we'll get some unknown Frenchman who's had 1 decent season in the French league.
