You have to give Giroud a fair crack of the whip, and that mean a season to adjust. Sure, he's not doing well at the moment but this is the GIC's fault. You buy 15m quid strikers and you are taking a gamble, whereas you buy a 30m quid striker you have every right to expect them to have the quality to hit the ground running.

Just playing devil's advocate for a moment, but lets say we had signed Ba in January and his knee goes in February, would you be panning Wenger for signing another injury prone player?

you are quite right in that but my point is more from frustration in the ££££ Wenker chucks down the drain all the fucking time,we already had bendtner who was average,then spent millions on camel who was worse then forhead who hasnt even shown himself good enough to be a footballer ler alone a prem player then icing on the cake Giroud,we need proven world class players not players who need time,anybody who defends Giroud is as bad as when chelski supporters were trying to say that svchenko was still a great signing despite the fact he was fucking useless in the prem,fact!i know he was world class but you are either up to it or not,all this season to adjust bollocks,the goals are in the same place and are the same size world wide.GIROUD ISNT UP TO IT,in fact he symbolises everything about us at the moment,a second rate striker in a second rate team

I think Ba went for money and to play with better players. This is probably Wenger's fault but given the choice of 150k a week and being pretty sure of top 4 spot I don't blame him. Comparing us with Chelsea is comparing apples and oranges. Only Newcastle were willing to take a punt on him so you can't just blame Arsenal for that one.

Ba's been virtually ever-present since he joined the PL 2 years ago. Given that he's willing to spend £12m+ on a striker with one good Ligue 1 season under his belt spending £7m+ on a player who had injury problems going back years but who is guaranteed to score goals if fit would hardly have been a huge gamble.

Yeah I wasn't being funny or anything, just was interested in your thoughts. Ba is a GREAT player, and I really hope he doesn't have this injury that everyone fears, but if it was my money I don't think I could sanction a move for that kind of risk.

its just all so frustrating that we dont sign anybody of any quality any more.id rather take Henry with one leg right now than Giroud.the scouts at our club are bigger cnuts than Wenker

Giroud does't have the tools (skills) to be a top forward.
The touch, the pace, the skill to evade defenders.

Thats why he is better suited in a team coached by the likes of Martin O'Neil and MCleish, lots of air balls and direct play. Not through balls, and playing against the last defender. Are we really going to change the way we play for him. Whats the point we'll need wingers who can cross. Its not worth the effort.

Its not his fault, blame our manager and his scouts.

Why wait for the season to end, those skills I mentioned aren't something you develop at his age is it?

He like many others in the squad right now are a shadow of former players, our place in the table reflects this.

I personally think Mata is hugely overrated. Good in patches today but also very wasteful. Aside from the first 10 games of this season I don't think he's produced quality on a really consistent basis since joining. I certainly don't for one minute think he would do any more than Cazorla in our team.

And I'm not sure we missed out because of that fuss with his release clause, perhaps he just wanted to join Chelsea instead?

apparently he was going to sign, then he was reminded that his chances of winning anything for his career are over. Carzola spoke to Cesc before joining us, who couldn't help but praise us. Alas Carzola will now win nothing whilst he is here.

To be fair if we had Mata we would never have bought carzola. The objective has always been top 4, not trophies so why would we need a Mata and a Carzola. Sadly for wenger he overestimated this squad's ability and now we'll be in the europa next season.

I couldn't care either, we're just CL cannon fodder like Olympiakos, Porto and the obligatory french champions.
