No mate we never were but ive been going on about him for months if not years now. I would have loved Sneijder and he would have been an A standard player we've been crying out for (along with a similar standard keeper, central defender, left back, right back, defensive midfielder and striker) but we had fuck all chance of signing him with the ink on tshirt order of "we don't sign superstars we make them" still wet
The Montpellier defender was apparently due in Newcastle yesterday and didn't show up.....Wenger's been interested in this bloke for some time so wouldn't be surprised if he's unveiled as our new Messiah at 23.59 on 31st Jan
I just hope he's as good value for money as the last fella we bought from them
