Wenger on Zaha. Jan 17: 'We are looking at him. I don't know if Man United are as well in for him.' Jan 22: 'We were never in for Zaha.'

Rennes' General Manager says a new bid from England for M'Vila has come in. Not from Newcastle. QPR pulled out. (via @mohammedali_93) #afc

Apparently we're in for Gervinho's Twin Brother...only he's not quite as good. To play on the opposite flank - Oooops! did I say 'play' I meant run like a headless chicken along the touchline then lose the ball whilst falling over.
Only £10million...bargain eh!?

The boss speaks to the media ahead of West Ham game
By Rob Kelly
Arsène Wenger insists he is still working “very hard” on adding two players to his squad during the January transfer window.
The Arsenal manager has been linked with a host of names this month, but has yet to make any significant moves in the market with just nine days remaining.
The Frenchman would not be drawn on the identities of potential targets, but admits he is still hopeful of bolstering his squad over the coming days.
“Yes . We work very hard on it,” Wenger said. “It is not the number that counts but the quality.
“I don't give you any names. I don’t come out on rumours because it would put [teams] in a bad position. The player as well.
“You have to respect the player has a contract somewhere, is playing and as long as the transfer is not done for anybody it is best not to talk about it because it doesn’t work. He has to continue to play where he is.”

Glad to see we didn't this coming over 2 weeks agoSteveO 35 wrote:While Arsene sleeps the rest of the world goes about its business. Liverpool had their first signing lined up on New Year's Day and got Sterling's contract sorted (that still had over a year to run). Little old Wigan have their first signing sorted, the Barcodes have signed a French international full back for £5m and Ba is as good as Chelsea's.QuartzGooner wrote:Llorente in talks with Juventus.
No doubt we'll be hearing soon how the commercial team are working day and night to conclude these 'oh so difficult' deals.
Isn't it funny how other clubs seem able to secure their top targets within a couple of days of the window opening.
Still I suppose neither Ba or Llorente were available at the right price and certainly not any better than the vast array of attacking options we have already as 'internal options'.
I presume we are working extremely hard in the 'internal market' though
Yawn, yawn, yawn. Every fucking window we manage to work hard to achieve nothing
