WHAT DO ARSENAL FANS NOW SEE AS FAILURE

WHAT DO ARSENAL FANS NOW SEE AS FAILURE

Post by tommyboy14 »

Looking over the last few years with the likes of Chelsea and Man City with there Billonaire owners and Man United forever spending big bucks, what do we now see as failure not winning the title not picking up a domestic cup or purely not making the top 4.

The real failure at Arsenal is the chronic mismanagement at all levels.

I can take missing out on any of the above if I feel we are giving ourselves the best possible chance on the pitch with the resources we have available.

The transfer policy is flawed as the players are allowed to run down their contracts and then hold the club to ransom surely this needs to change.

The powers that be are running the club like a business not a footbal club and with the billionaire forces to compete against it is set up to fall on the football front but great to line their pockets

Great post.

I want to win every trophy we go in for but we all know thats not possible so for me an improvement season on season is the absolute minimum but we have had groundhog day for the last 3-4 seasons and probably even gone backwards.

This is failure to me

It is a failure to challenge for any trophies. We have failed year fater year and continue to do so so despit always being told we have the strongest squad he has worked with each year.

It is a failure of the management at all levels to address the problems we have on the pitch and to not pressure the manager at board level to do better with the huge resources he has at his disposal (big transfer kitty, world scouting network and state of the art trainig facilities/medical facilities).

I can take not winning things if we are competitive but we are not anymore and that really hurts especially given the price of going to watch an average team

This x 1 million

I can accept us not winning (there is only 4, not 5, cups after all) but what I cannot accept is the defeatist non challenging attitude running through our club  Gone are the days where our club had pride running through every individual within it and knowledge that if we were to lose then the opposition would have to work their bollox off to beat us.
Failure is continually selling your best players (especially to your rivals) as it is the working practice of a small mid table club

The ultimate failure is the continued stewardship of wenker and the rest of the c**ts on the board - every day that goes by with them in charge only twists the knife the bit more in my heart

Failure is taking a proud, trophy winning and challenging team and club and turning them into what we are now. Failure is the inability of the majority and it is one, to make ourselves heard and change the direction of the downward spiral of OUR club.

Arsenal 2007-2013. Repeated abject failures at all levels. Especially the manager. :|

sometimes i think we arsenal fans sound a bit overly dramatic.

we weren't relegated in the last 7 years. we never finished midtable or worse (actually no worse than 4th, which is respectable by all means). we went to a CL final and two cup finals. we went to the last 16 of th CL in every one of those seasons. i could go on.

so it's not complete catastrophe, it is just underachieving imo.

the point is, we have the resources and the means to challenge for silverware again. what is unnaceptable is that we could be there, but for some reason we are overly conservative spending money, all those teams between 2006-2013 only needed 2-3 class players to be fighting with man usa and chelsea for silverware. how can the arsene who was so brilliant before turn into this blind, arrogant, self-important bloke i will never understand.

I think that it was the bust of himself. Who in their right mind would agree to having all of this vanity crap around while you are still at the club (not to mention alive).

Pride cometh before a fall
