Yet because he goes to Newcastle some people are complaining we're too tight to sign him. No pleasing some.

Well I for one had seen enough of him to come to the conclusion that he was better than what we've got at the moment - although that shouldn't be too difficult to find, despite what Wenger claims!! :banghead:  And just because Giroud hasn't proven to be a world beater, doesn't mean other players from that club/league wouldn't be good enough to make us better, surely? :rubchin:

If we were to buy a keeper then it should be an older experienced keeper not someone even younger than the keeper we already have
Tbh there are several positions on the team that need addressing before the back up keeper

Marca have reported that Barcelona want to send Isaac Cuenca out on loan for the rest of the season. The youngster has been a long term target for Arsenal and club were keen to sign the player last summer and may be interested in taking him to the Emirates for the reminder of the season.

The young Spaniard has been out of action for eight months due to a serious knee injury which was operated on last May, just after the transfer speculation. He has finally been given the go ahead by the Barcelona medical staff to resume playing but the club realises that he will struggle to get into the first team squad.

With the likes of Pedro, David Villa, Lionel Messi and Alexis Sanchez ahead of him in the forward positions, the La Liga side feel side that loaning him out will help him to get the playing time he requires. In order for Cuenca to get back to the level he was before the injury the club want him to play regular first team football so that he is ready for the start of the next season.

We will have to start singing INGERLAND INGERLAND INGERLAND to them. Then we will be officially a small club. :banghead:

While it has become common knowledge that Rubin Kazan remain favourites to sign Frenchman Yann M’Vila, general manager Pierre Dreossi has revealed that a new offer has bee submitted by an English club.

M’Vila has been heavily linked with Arsenal since the summer and has been tipped as the solution to our shortcomings in defensive midfield.

Above the entrance to Hades it is said that the bible or one of those other faerie tale type books claims it says:

   "Abandon All Hope Ye Who Enter Here"

Maybe we should adopt that as the title of this transfer (that's a laugh! ) thread, until it closes and we are all put out of our misery of ever hoping we might sign someone, anyone... :banghead:

SSN.....Michu signs new contract at Swansea till 2016.......even the tiny taffy team can keep their best player, one which would be welcome at many top teams I'm sure.

Does this mean a) they are better negotiators b) michu is a fine loyal fella who really does like the team he plays for or c) van parasite is a *word censored* :rubchin:

F**k Barca, we're not blooding their young players without getting at least £30million for the priviledge. :)

Course you can mate.......but it does make you wonder how the swans can keep a player who could demand a much higher wage and better team (no disrespect to swansea) if he wanted a move :|
