Am not saying that I believe chippy but as a Gooner of almost 40 years, I find it embarrassing to be linked with average shit like that At least back in the day we would be linked to top top players that we hadn't a hope or intention of signing instead of average joe's
To be fair, at least he is better than the below average shit that Wenger has been buying of late. He will at least try andstop the ball going into the net unlike some of the cart horse defenders we have been saddled with.
However, Augie is correct in saying that he is not the 'super quality' we need just now.
Ashley Williams is a fucking carthorse. Believe me, I've watched plenty of him and he's fucking turd. People think he's a great old-fashioned centre-half because he makes so many desperate blocks of shots but truth is that he's just covering for his fucking woeful positioning and reading of the game.
I promise you he's not any better than what we've got.
