Weekend's other FA cup games
Spiteful tackle from Stoke on Garcia, that was a career-ender.

Re: BRIGHTON FA CUP THREAD
I'm going to have to take a scalding hot shower with industrial-strength bleach after watching Stoke play. That Whelan tackle was fucking filthy, in fact it wasn't a tackle at all.
Whelan jumped with both feet and his whole weight on Garcia's ankle with no intention other than snapping it to pieces. Commentators just brush it off as him being a lucky boy for not seeing red (no foul given) and how there's no need to react to challenges.
If that was Suarez people would want him banned for life and hanged outside Buckingham Palace. Instead the FA will inevitavly ignore this for fear of Pulis and the rest of his baseball cap-wearing pikeys coming to smash their windows in in the night.

That was diabolical that challenge. I assume he could subsequently get a ban for it? Mind you, wouldn't be suprised if Hazard gets a life time ban and hard labour from the FA for the the tussle with the little turd from swansea whilst Whelan gets off scott free... such are the vagaries of FA decisions.northbank123 wrote:I'm going to have to take a scalding hot shower with industrial-strength bleach after watching Stoke play. Re: BRIGHTON FA CUP THREAD
It can't even be described as a tackle Steve. His only intention was to bust his ankle.
They can charge him for it. They won't and they'll say something along the lines of Webb saw it and didn't report it but at the end of the day they're scared of Pulis.
Somehow Stoke are immune from all criticism because of their humble origins. Unfortunately people seem incapable of distinguishing between a physical but fair approach relying on set pieces and aerial balls and pure filth.

only one draw of the thirteen fixtures thus far (including the current fulham game). given the draws for next round will always have a couple of either/or fixtures, it is therefore a fact that a couple of the three games tomorrow/current fulham game, will be draws. get down the bookies imo.
Re: Weekend's other FA cup games
I used to think that there was some level of football in milner but after watching him and barry in action for citeeh today I have concluded that there isnt an ounce of football between them
Granted they do work hard but they were shit and the crossing from milner (and clichy mind) were not even at pub league level
For all their money citeeh and manure are far from untouchable - when you see team sheets containing the names of barry, milner, rafael, giggs and scholes to name just a few then it just reminds you that if our club invested in some genuine quality (and backbone) then we could really be in the mix for the big trophies instead of scraping around for the virtual trophy as is our norm
