He was never joining us. Too old, wages too high and as soon as our hand was declared would start a bidding war that we'd not even be second best inswimmer1 wrote:Villa playing for barca whores so I think he is a no go
Not my feelings.....I'd love to have the bloke here. Would be the first signing I've been excited about in years......but sadly no chance of it happening

I have to echo this post, was never going to happen. How about Cavani to Arsenal? If any idiot believes that horseshit or gets excited about it they deserve a punch in the face and should have a long hard look at themselves in the mirror.SteveO 35 wrote:He was never joining us. 1) When was the last time we paid the £30m required to sign him?
2) When was the last time we paid the £150k per week wages (minimum) required to sign him?
3) Why in gods name would he choose us over our superior and more ambitious rivals around Europe?

David Villa has told Barca he wants to join Arsenal in this window. Arsenal have been in Barca last week negotiating a transfer

How reliable is this guy generally? (I dont follow him)mcdowell42 wrote:David Villa has told Barca he wants to join Arsenal in this window. Arsenal have been in Barca last week negotiating a transfer

I still dont see it happening, it is a very un-Wenger like purchase. He is ageing, will demand high wages and will have no resale value....

Thats the 64 m dollar question it was him who started the rumours on twitter last week tht we had bid for a 30m player but didnt give any details of who he was, what club he played for, what position he played or what country he played in so id take it with a pinch of salt.
I just post these arsenal related twitter rumours cos posters on here want me to

People will believe anything if they want it to happen enough.
I would be very surprised if we sign anyone of note.

Augie on here suffers from tht he seems to get a tad irate when totally unfounded rumours are posted on here

Re: The 'I'm losing the will to live' Rumours Thread
I get irate at the fact that we will sign nobody not the fact that some deluded fools put up shite on twitter about signing a 30m player
The thing that gets me riled up about the David villa rumours is that he is very obtainable if we or any other team really went after him and I have said that for the last 6 months on here (maybe that is where the rumours started
). Yes he would be pricey and yes he would have no resale value but what price does wenger and kroenke put on falling out of the virtual trophy positions and the subsequent loss of revenue ?
Anyway what makes sense to the rest of us is purely nonsense in wengerworld so all these pages and all these rumours are a waste of time
