Natalie's bongo's were great again this year transfer thread

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

Wonder if Juve and Milan are stupid enough to pay £20+m and £150k/w for Balotelli.

He is genuinely not a great striker by any means. So because he scored two goals against Germany it's worth putting up with a scoring record of 30 goals in all competitions in 2 and a half seasons? There's not even a debate for me, he's nowhere near good enough to even contemplate justifying putting up with all the histrionics.

If Mancini actually believes this view that he's perpetuated that he's one of the best strikers in world football then he should be sectioned. He's not even in the top 3 strikers at his club - what are Tevez and Dzeko meant to think? They wouldn't have won the league without Tevez last year and wouldn't be anywhere near United this year without Dzeko, yet the manager repeatedly talks up the 4th-choice striker ahead of them despite making no positive contribution this year particularly? Man management at its finest!

I posted about this on the Board thread.
Myles Palmer reckons Arshavin was signed by Gazidis.
It is an interesting theory, but just how would we sign a player if Wenger did not approve?
Happens at other clubs where the manager is more of a coach and the Director of Football plans transfers, but...
can that really happen at Arsenal under Wenger?

Arshavin was for sure a Wenger signing but Im not so sure about the raft of players we bought in at the end of the window last season ,particularly the BFG and even Arteta.

No signing it is then. I don't see Villa coming. Too much talking and not a single actual sign so far... Wenger latest comments suggest he will not buy anyone. I know he lies all the time but I tend to believe him more when he tells he'll buy no one than when he tells he's looking to strenghten...

It's going to be long time till may... Fourth place will be up to luck imo. :?

The highlight of this thread will be to see if it gets to 200 pages. Might start a poll. :rubchin: :D
