I hope Wenger sticks with Santos to confirm to the world what a pig-headed, arrogant, deluded, has-been manager he is.

I actually think that fat boy Santos could do OK on the left side of midfield provided u dont want him to tackle back.

As a left back however he is worth 1/3 goals a game for the opposition !

Agree.

Meade is injured too, one month away from a return from ankle ligament damage.

I do not rate Vermaelen at left back though, and Miquel has looked shaky there.
Could Koscielny play there?

Failing that both Coquelin and Yennaris can tackle, but neither is a left sided player and Coquelin is injured.

Brandon Ormonde-Ottewill looks far too raw to be near the first team yet.

Gibbs is a write off. He has glass legs. No muscle mass means he will spend the better part of his career injured. Sad for an honest hard working lad like him but fuck him I don't owe him a living. Get rid of him or keep him as back up to a left back that can actually play a whole season, year after year.

If any of us missed as much work as the likes of Diaby, Gibbs and Rosicknote (and CuntyJudasVanArseGoat before he left) we'd be fucking sacked. :x

Except for Hlebby - I don't think drug dealers sack their quality control testers... :rubchin:

Our seats are in that corner of the family enclosure that overlooks our left back. So in the second half we had the pleasure of watching Santos performance up close...

He was brilliant. Reminicent of the Chuckle Brothers in their prime. In fact, when he stands there looking around like a lost soul with his hands on his oversized hips he almost has a touch of Normam Wisdom....

The only thing I couldn't understand was why he wasn't just the half time entertainment. As someone who, while definitely not AKB, has been a bit of a Wengerite over the years....even I was left scratching my head and wondering whether it was a joke/bet/dare....?

And now I see there are rumours that we're going to send Jenkinson out on loan....? Why???? And why wasn't he playing last night instead of the fat Brazilian???????

Quite simply Santos should never be allowed to wear an Arsenal shirt again.
No exaggeration that he is THE WORST 'player' I've ever seen in 40 years of following AFC. Words fail me that we actually paid millions of pounds for him. What the fuck was Wenger thinking?
Those 60 mins last night were just incredible. We all say that we could do better but truthfully at 50 fucking years old I am fitter, know how to jocky a player and have more of a footballing brain.
Totally and utterly speechless.......oh well ARSENE FUCKING KNOWS :banghead:

Rumour has it that Gibbs is about to sign a multi-million pound contract with Tampax, seeing as like their Tampon product, he needs to be wrapped in cotton wool and is in one week then out for three!!

Santos is the single most unfit professional I have ever seen and sadly he plays in ouir team!! At the end of the game last night he looked like he had been playing for 3 days non stop not for 50mins.

We need to spend and givent he medical failings we have Baines for £15m has to be done now. Sadly we will not sign anyone I fear and so I think the best option is Sagna to left back and Jenkinson at right back

When I look at the February fixtures - Stoke (h), Sunderland (a), Blackburn (h) and Villa (h), normally I would think 'big deal' and so what that we are missing a full back because the three home games are against teams I'd expect us to outplay for large periods. The issue is that our back up left back is SOOOOO bad that he is a national laughing stock....honestly, I had friends supporting lower division teams texting me last night, commenting that they can't recall seeing a worse full back ever play for Arsenal. So even against mediocre players he is out of his depth - fuck me, Downing looked like Messi in the last 20 minutes, so our opponents would only need to stick the likes of N'Zogbia, Etherington and Adam Johnson against him and there would be blind panic even on the rarest of attacks

As for Bayern - if we go there with Santos, I pity the poor buggers that have shelled out hundreds. Hopefully Gibbs will be fit when we play out there.....but of course the damage could well be done by then.

So if he doesn't sign a left back today then he is confirming that there are no better left backs available than Santos anywhere in the world

The thing with fray bentos is that he now looks a worse player than he did last season (when I actually thought he was doing ok)
The same can be said of every one of the current crop of bought in defenders, they all are worse players for signing for us and becoming Wengerised.
He seems to destroy everything he touches.
