The game was fucking tedious for long spells. Stoke really are a boring bunch of toothless fuckwits away from home it has to be said but I also agree that some of our teams of years gone by would have slaughtered them by half time. I dare say that some of them may also have been brave enough to play with 2 strikers against a team that have managed 8 goals in total away from home this season and one victory.........remember those days eh? Two strikers in a home game, heaven forbid eh?
We allow teams like this to get comfortable by playing an isolated striker. Without a deflected free kick we were almost in "credit to Stoke they defended very well" Arseneballs territory
Odd that you didn't pick out Giroud for some treatment
Can't believe SteveO's skimmed over Giroud trying to cushion a free header from 6 yards out back across goal to an invisible team-mate.
If I dared to make any comment about that I'd be pounced upon by Le Chapman Police telling me what a fantastic season he's having. I said I'd be back after the Bayern games to see what people's judgments were on the guy after playing against a top quality team.
Anyway, everyone's get out of jail free answer for him is that even when he's complete shit like today he "worked hard for the team". Amazing because I watched the whole 90 minutes and didn't see any evidence of this again

GIVE HIM TIME TO ADJUST YOU IMPATIENT WANKER
Yeah!! It's not always easy knowing when to put your left foot in front of the right!!

Or are you trying to claim that SteveO suffers from premature ejaculation?

Or merely that I can't even be bothered to wait for that to happen?

The good teams of Wenger would have been 3 up at half time compared to this shower.Today we were poor against an average team
AW "they defended very well" and "made it difficult for us" "overall, I believe that our quality was good but it was a fuckin lucky deflection for the goal"
after reading the comments on here and a couple of the papers write ups praising our 'mettle', defence and organisation, I guess i should feel a bit more pleased than I do.
i'm jaded though by 5 or 6 years of not taking teams like stoke and sunderland (not to mention bolton) at apart at home in the first 20 as many teams do.
someone said a few years back that you have to fight for the right to play football in the PL, and we still lack i feel a couple of dirty bastards to give a kick or two to people like shawcross and crouch early doors.
i'd like to see the defence and midfield a bit more rev'd up and a bit more punchy. Jack , TV and diaby/jenko or Ramsay should be giving it out. Giroud too, he had a bit of a reputation for that in France.
I'm disappointed if he didn't have a great game today, but i still think he's a decent squad player in tandem with pod and Walcott - and i think he's having an okay start if not a spectacular one.
some of his finishes have been pretty good, so i hope he does do something against Bayern and the big clubs as I said a week ago.
i think he's less frustrating to watch than campbell, boa morte, reyes or wreh, still a better finish than bentdner and has the potential to be like wiltord - a solid squad player who'll get you a goal every 2 or 3 games.
our unproven striker Pod is the buy of the season imho.
Well done to the 56,000-57,000(?) who turned up despite knowing what to expect by way of 'entertainment'. Quite why Stoke fans bother to travel to watch such shite from their team, I'll never know. I heard one of their old supporters say on 5 Live a few weeks ago that he refuses to watch Stoke until Pulis has gone. They got what they deserved today - nothing.
Officials were usual garbage, especially lino on Theo's side in 2nd half when Wilkinson decided that he wasn't good enough to play football and tried his hand at rugby. Lino made a big effort to disallow the goal but Foy made one of his few good calls of the day.
Arsenal too pedestrian until Cazorla and Podolski came on. Diaby needs games under his belt but he'll get injured by the time he's up to pace. Monreal could be a cracker. Looks very good going forward and can cross a ball rather than aim it at the defender.

There were not many travelling Stoke fans, they had a small section and that didn't seem to be full.

Walked up to the Emirates behind a Stokie inbred family.....new ''baby'' in tow. ''''aint he sweet'' dribbled the toothless mum (or sister), ''''yer, he's fucking ace'' growled the neanderthal dad (or brother!!!).....''he's perfikt, look at his little fingers.....1,2,3,4,5,6,7....yer,all there''

After the goal there was a dispute with the linesman and I reckon during it Shawcross tried to nut Arteta. Nothing wrong with the goal , we deserved the win..far from perfect but such a pleasure to beat them.
Admit after watching it again Shawcross didn't nut Arteta but he gestured doing so..don't want Mr Pulis accusing me of anything against his team.
Shit game mostly but we were by far the better team and only for their keeper could have won 4-0. But we were wasteful too and sluggish until Podolski and Cazorla came on, when our passing became a bit faster and crisper. Not to say Diaby did poorly, he was ok, made a couple of good runs and a few nice passes but he obviously needs a run of games and he won't get that because we all know he will get injured again within 2 or 3 games.
The Shawcunt tackle - at first I thought they both went in hard old school style and hit each other and tbh I was a bit shocked at the card. But then I saw the replay, and the Orc prick wasn't even aiming his leg at the football, just straight into Kos (who went in hard but aimed at and got the ball). Shawcunt is nothing but a filthy Orc ****.
Hilarious to hear the Orc King Pulis whining about being "disappointed" at the Arsenal players surrounding the ref at the goal. Obviously Orc eyesight ain't up to much because he seems to have totally missed the 2 Orcs that were also there and then the 3 Orcs that followed the ref back to the half way line! Poor short-sighted Orc.
Lastly, Michael Owen throws a "punch" like a nine year old girl. Hilarious!
First post on here. I am from Lincoln and only make it two or three times a season, and Saturday was the first time this season. I am not one of the football tourists - I count myself as a proper Arsenal fan. Feel like I am justifying myself a bit now! Anyway, I do watch my local team every week (since 1982 but it is getting frigging difficult now. You try going to bloody Ebbsfleet!) and go The Emirates when possible. We always make a weekend of it so it ends up costing the same as a weeks all-inclusive in Tenerife. But it is worth it, sort of!
It was hard to tell how good we were defensively on Saturday because Stoke showed absolutely no ambition whatsoever. I have seen better footballing sides in the Conference this season - they are a sack of crap. I remember Pulis from his lower league days, and he was a nobhead then as well. Always has been.
I will be back again for the Blackburn game which, hopefully, will be better to watch. They dug in at the weekend, got the result, and deservedly won. Man Utd do that a dozen times a season.
