"The team has certainly been deeply affected by all the negativity and as well by the fact they are highly focused to do well. Everyone of us is affected by criticism. I didn’t meet one person who loves to be slaughtered. The team want to do well. But sometimes that can be a bit inhibitive. I think it’s mainly down to that.”
It's just as well that you instilled their mental strength then. Eh, Arsene ????![]()

That makes the assumption that getting rid of Arsene is the aim... That is where we differ as it is highly unlikely I would ever agree as I do not believe it would be for the good of all concerned. Folk hereabout obviously do and we are all entitled to our viewpoint. My Point was the negativity affecting the team on the day. Just because a percentage of folk believe one thing it doesn't make it correct and therefore, imo, not justifiable when it can be detrimental to the effort on the field. That's what I feel anyway.clockender1 wrote:but that is the only time we have Arsene and the Board's attention.Steve_I wrote: heck I've slagged players off and also whined about Arsene's (and predecessors) decision making as any fan does but I believe there is a time to do so and that time is not during play.
we pay our ticket prices like anyone else, and we're entitled to show our displeasure at the poor coaching and management we're paying for at the club right now.
what should we do ? - sit on our hands until we're bottom half and the rest of you finally agree with us ?
Yep....it's like night and day.Soul of mischief wrote: But I thought his comment on there 'being no bigger culture shock than Stoke when coming from Spain' was brilliant!
Wait till Nacho faces the away game at their place and books a table at Stoke's most upmarket restaurant afterwardsSoul of mischief wrote:Joined this forum a while ago, but never really got round to posting. While I for the most part agree with you on Wenger, I think he's had his time and he needs to go for the good of the club.
But I thought his comment on there 'being no bigger culture shock than Stoke when coming from Spain' was brilliant!
He may be a senile, stubborn twat now, but it's nice to remember the sane, sharp tongued man he once was!
Fixed that for you mate!SteveO 35 wrote:Wait till Nacho faces the away game at their place and books a table at Stoke's most upmarket restaurant afterwardsSoul of mischief wrote:Joined this forum a while ago, but never really got round to posting. What is the Spanish for "have you ever been to a Burger King before?"

He should stop quoting team mates mental state in every interview. After watching Stoke game, I got the feeling that we will make it to 4th eventually. Arsene again built a team just to get 4th spot. Nothing more and nothing less.Den10kamp wrote: but it was only last week he was telling us that, the team was mentally stronger than his title winning sides?
he's tying himself up in knots here .... rambling like a mad man, matter of time ..... the clock end clock's ticking ...tick...tock...tick...tock....
Tight 4th finish this year. It is gong to easier from next year considering it is going to be the same team.Wengerball wrote:I for one think we will get 4th place this year- not that we are playing great football but more that the other teams have deteriorated much faster than we have.
