A hundred year anniversary

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

A hundred year anniversary

Post by olgitgooner »

One hundred years ago on this day the move from Plumstead to Highbury was announced in the Islington Gazette.

History. We have it. Unlike all those lesser London clubs. :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

Funny that.
I was reading some old threads in the basement today.
One of which carried a photo of supporters before a match.....Lokomotiv Leipzig 78/79?
You posted on that thread that you were the olgit in the photo, I think?
I must say that you looked kinda, well, older than middle aged in it.
Are you an octogenarian by any chance?

Yes we are.

But. By law. We have to fit a liquid-proof guard over the keyboard.

This is to protect against spillages from cocoa and soup.

I'm told that it's something to do with elves and safety.
