The sunlun away thread.
Re: The sunlun away thread.
Just watched that Shezza save again, can't believe it. How?
Re: The sunlun away thread.
Tbh I only seen a few minutes here and there on the streams but I loved the reaction from sagna and ramsey when the final whistle went - it showed a sense of passion and determination that we just dont see often enough from our players

Let Sagna be first choice CB and cap'n on this performance imo. I guess I'll have to watch it again - I didn't think the save was that mind boggling1989 wrote:Just watched that Shezza save again, can't believe it. How?

Nope but he is our best RBg88ner wrote:Phew![]()
So, is Sagna our best centre back?![]()

I also thought Ramsey had a good game bar the dawdling on the ball which almost led to a goal

Re: The sunlun away thread.
we did win ugly.against ugly opposition.Top Londoner wrote: We won ugly, and we stuck in there for 94 mins. Faith restored.
sagna, jenko, jack, Giroud and even walcott put their foot in, elbowed em, harrassed em and let Arteta and Santi play.
I thought Giroud and walcott really put a shift in today. Giroud looked out on his feet the last 10. Jenko's red card was worth it. in the start of both halves the mackems dished it out and we gave it back to them.
monreal looked solid and ches made two good reaction saves and i lost count of the amount of times he punched the ball out.
even with 10 men we looked pacey and efficient on the break. i liked the Giroud drag back 10 mins after half time. him, santi, diaby and walcott all had good chances that they should of buried but they missed, but at least we were shooting, and Giroud made two good chances himself out of nothing
i noticed jack had his thigh strapped up under his shorts - so he was already carrying an injury. Thanks England, you fuckers.
im happy with the effort and result today.

It was in and somehow he managed to tip it over with his weaker hand as well.g88ner wrote:I guess I'll have to watch it again - I didn't think the save was that mind boggling1989 wrote:Just watched that Shezza save again, can't believe it. Actually, there is a dramatic twist to look forward to... but you'll have to wait for me to update the thread this evening.

So much is riding on the derby game now. Who's gonna be able to handle the pressure more?!

Re: The sunlun away thread.
I agree clockender.
Giroud was an outlet, and only tired in the last 15 mins.
He had his chances to score, and blew them but, he didn't give up trying for the team.
Being the outlet for the clearance was an important part of the game as was being in a position for a pass on goal, a clearing header or even, a shite shot at goal.
