Would wenger be successful in pastures new?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Or it could be argued that he is an egotistical and power hungry - according to all reports wenger's control within the club went so far as to him picking the colours of the walls and picking out the delph for the new colney when it was built plus it is also well known that wenger refuses to delegate any coaching tasks to any of his assistants so suggesting that he spread himself too thin is ignoring the probability that it is he himself who wants it that way

Re benetiz I will concur that he should be doing better than he is but I also suggested in my previous posts that tactical gameplanning is very much secondary in english football to the point that I have always felt that his tactics cost the scousers a league title a few years ago when he went too conservative when he should have been going for the wins (they lost the league by a point or 2). I should also point out that his points per game ratio is indeed worse than di matteo's but is also better than wengers  It is also a little reported fact that last season avb had a much better points per game ration than champs league winner di matteo[/quote]

I heard those reports as well and they could be true - I don't know. You really only hear it from Robson and there are doubts to the veracity of his methods because he is more or less a freelancer who could be drumming up sensationialism for his own pocket. I don't doubt that Wenger is a micro-manager and wants to control as much as possible, but maybe Robson takes it too far. Again, it is hard to know for sure.

There is no argument from me that Wenger is under-achieving this year and I want a new manager, but have come to the quiet acceptance that he will be around for another season, so I will just have to grin and bear it. I do believe that Gazidis will be more than keen to make his first appointment a good one, so I fully trust him to do what needs to be done.

I am now really getting away from the question here which was will Wenger be successful in pastures new? I think that he will be, but I suppose that it also requires what the definition of pastures new means? Another big club? An ambassador role? A FIFA Official?

Well now would be a good time to find out wouldn't it

Apparantly Moyes is out of contract at Everton at the end of the season and is keen to "see how things go" with no hurry to sign a new deal there...

I'm not a huge Moyes fan, but must admit that he has overachieved given his paucity of resouces and his teams usually have the bit of steel and grit about them that we appear to lack.

A proper disciplined defence coupled with our attack, with less (no) tip tap could be very good balance but doubt that the board have any inclination to change as long as the cash roles in.

Wenger will never have success again - either at Arsenal or another club. He is finished but sadly we have to suffer him for years to come as our Club no longer cares about success on the pitch.
