As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
There are thousands of gooners who use SW trains to get to games. The bastards are going on strike next week so there is only a skeleton service and that finishes at about 8. Therefore we will have to find an alternative way.
They're meeting again today so hopefully things will get thrashed out and it'll be called off. Don't worry, I'm sure the tea and biscuits are going down well and we'll have some good news later today or at the end of the week. If not, I'm buggered too!!!
Yep, I'm just down the road from you Chippy so I know exactly what you mean! You'd need to set off at about 3pm to be certain of getting there by kick off! I'll let you know when I hear anything.
Apparently things went reasonably well in the talks and the strikes may be called off. Nothing definite yet but it's looking promising. Fingers crossed!
Consider yourself lucky that you normally get a train home. The last train to Bognor is at 10:30 which means I have to leave the game at '85 so I can beat the police cornering Finsbury Park off!

Sounds like you are close to the action. Do you work for SWT?
Nope, but I have friends in high places and if I told you who they were I'd have to shoot you!!!!!!
And I can also now tell you that the strikes are DEFINITELY OFF next week so Cinderella you shall go to the (foot)ball!!!
