Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

How long before Jack has his ability and genius Wengerised out of him? :|
True Wenger is ruining the Ox, he needs to leave ASAP or he'll be another one destined for the 'players who didn't make it' thread in 5 years time

I watched the 49 unbeaten run yesterday and players passed the ball so quickly the opposition could not get near. Now that does not happen as the quality is not there and I agree that Ox has been poor. I dont understand how Wenger has got it so wrong for so long after getting it so right.

The guy is still only 18. Yeah I know its a cliche but I think it's normal. Young players get a few goals and terroize defenders but then opponents get smarter and deal with them better and so now Ox needs to adapt his game and be a bit more intelligent. I still feel Ox has a bright future ahead of him.

As I've said before, Wenger is like the dracular of football coaching, he drains and coaches the natural talent from players like dracular sucking the life blood from his victims! I also reckon that when he looks in a mirror he doesn't have a reflection!

Oh I suspect he does - only it will be responding to Wenger's question 'Whose the greatest of them all'!! :banghead: :banghead:

Ox has gone downhill since

I think this crushed him and from that point onward he just let Arsenal's inevitable demise under Wenger get to him. He's thinking that he could have been in Zaha's shoes.

I think the fact that if he has one poor game he is droppped for the next 4 surely does not do anything for confidence of a young man with huge potential. Same goes for Jenkinson.

They are replaced by players who put in worse performances but do not get dropped and instead are given more games in a row to prove just how bad they are (I refer of course to Diaby, Sagna and Gervinho) before they are "rested" or "rotated" out of the side.

Naturla flair is not what Arsene likes, its his way or the bench with the exception being Jack. If he droppped him he really would be hung outside the ground

I think he was highly overrated by us gooners, he was being named in future england teams and arsenal teams only over a few games.

He is still young and i'm sure he'll play a lot better, but i dont consider him an outstanding talent, I really hope he makes it though.

Seriously. Is this what the AKB's / Wengerites / Rose Tinters / whateveryoucallyourselves are reduced to? Just popping out silly little jibes that have nothing to do with the subject? :|

Depends on how you look at it, I think the guy has got the potential to be world class, but that doesn't mean he is world class at the moment. Of course he was of overhyped, that happens to every English player that breaks through at a top club.

Within the first few games for us he already looked to have a far superior football brain compared to the likes of Walcott. He seemed to know what would make the defenders life difficult, he was able to cut inside or taking them on down the outside and put a decent ball into the box.

I hope it is just a confidence thing as I have genuinely high hopes for him.
