Re: Wenger Out Banner

Augie,

Yes i know more than a lot but still not enough as cards close to chest is what comes to mind but when i do get a chance to have a dialogue with his people i am assured he personally wants success, full stop and will do whatever is needed financially and staff wise to make that happen and there would be no point in coming out with wild rash statements with ownership not appearing on the horizon at present and wenger could choose to go in meantime of own accord.

Usmanov ( or should i say Red & White team ) have been getting 'up off their arse' relentlessly over the last period buying shares to get to 30% as first target and they are all over the media, have a uk PR company and are very aware of all that is said.

The problem i see is the same old problem, club ownership is deadlocked and he is frustrated as Kroenke refuse to even speak to him, point blank total not interested.

Timing wise there is always a tight window between the seasons to shout scream and take action and last year when the 30% rule was changed to 50% he saw no point in making a hypothetical challenge as he was too far away from the target.

This year is different ( except our trophy cabinet unchanged) in that he is officially 21 shares short of 30% but with pending deals etc I known that when the time is right they will confirm they have 30%.Might well do it as soon as choose to sign the last few share transfers but i would think they are more likely to wait until out of europe and 4th place trophy decided but if happens earlier there will be no big fanfare yet.

No one know his next step but once 30% official I think might see a legal challenge through Uefa against that rule change and a request for seat on the board and more importantly to be consulted on the way forward.

All other aspects have been discussed repeatedly but to answer your original point in summary , he cares and wants success for arsenal,( with or without Wenger) knows it will cost money and is prepared to put his hand in his pocket, unlike Kroenke and that is good enough for me.

It's down to us as fans now to get this wanker as far away from our club as possible, the board have no spine and need to be pushed into a corner, as tasteless as it is chanting for your mangers head I don't give a fcuk anymore.

Mark Saggers on talkshite tonight.
All things Arsenal, a lot of pissed off punters calling in and several interviews.
Kelvin from BSM interviewed and the banner was mentioned, and the fisticuffs at some away matches over it.
Actually a good listen, for once.

Hate to say it but the most articulate lucid intelligent comments I've heard were made by piers morgan on radio 5 last night....we were listening on the way home after the (mis)match & all of us agreed with every point he made.

Good to see the onlinegooner get a mention in today's daily mail....

PS I stand by what I said before....the banner should be coming with us to Munich!!

Tom Watt was on talksport this afternoon saying no way he wanted Usmanov anywhere or anyway involved and that Wenger was the man to spend the cashpile !

I tried to phone but wouldn't put me on air- i said it was crazy having an employee of the club ( albeit on an adhoc basis eg the fans forum monday nights and his corporate compering) and asking him whether Kroenke should have dialogue and involve Usmanov - you only have to look at Perry Groves and Stuart Robson ( even though think he is a twat most of the time) and see that if you are in their pay and dont toe the line the you will be red carded

Don't understand the whole tom watt thing. Failed actor who become famous purely because he supports arsenal.... Don't understand what qualifies him to be such an authority???

He wrote a book called "The End" which is a brilliant book about Arsenal.

I think he became famous because he was in Eastenders, not because he supports us!

Was listening to the Tuesday club earlier (Alan Davies Arsenal pod) and he is ready for change, he obviously admires Wenger but he is sick with Wenger's ways and spent the whole pod talking about who should replace Wenger! :barscarf:

Ended up with Klopp as prime candidate with Moyes as runner up.
