What pissed me off especially was how he blasts people who say he didn't take the cup seriously, yet as I recall on Friday he said getting into the champions league was more important! Not only was that reflected in his squad selection, but in the way the players performed and the pre-planned subs. Okay so he is thinking of Tuesday, but he must know we can't win the CL. He is so far up his own arse, no one in the press brought up Friday? No one mentioned Sir Alex having more FA Cups? How thick are they?

So he's totally irate because he reckons the story is lies??? He deserves respect not lies??

This from the man who says -

"I will be very active in the transfer window"
"I will sign 2 maybe 3 players"
"I will not sign anyone"

Thw world's biggest liar and fraud is upset because someone told a porky about him, Oh the delicious irony.

Hi Gooners,
article in the german Spiegel magazin
http://www.spiegel.de/sport/fussball/ch ... 84024.html
saying that Arsene can go shopping in the summer for new players, value around 80 Million Euros:
Über 80 Millionen Euro stehen Wenger im Sommer zur Verfügung, um sich für die kommende Spielzeit ein Team nach seinen Wünschen zusammenzustellen - mehr als je zuvor
but also that this will be his last chance and shot.

Cheers,
Thomas

Before this gets branded with the AKB brush - read my earlier post about how i see things.

BUT the media have always been out to get Wenger, compare the way he is treated compared to Arry and Fergie - despite acting completely differently (particularly with the former) and giving the media what they want etc,

Everybody wants to stick the knife in, we can worry about all that tomorrow - for now, we have a huge game tonight - this is what being a fan is all about. It would be nice to shut a few external haters up, Arsenal have always been better with our backs to the wall.

The world be watching, we should be united as a club into getting a good result tonight, the rest can wait till tomorrow.

I'm not sure the highlighted bit is true BDB.... There are many many journo's who cant wait to praise Wenger John Cross and Patrick Barclay are two that instantly spring to mind. Also dont forget Ferguson refuses to talk to certain members of the press due to what he considers bad reporting of him or his team. I do agree 'arry is given an easy time of it but i think thats due to him having no class and giving them every snippet of business making their jobs a lot easier.

Wenger doesn't help himself with mistruths and sometimes downright lies though and maybe this gets people backs up but generally they aren't out to get Wenger more so than anyone else (barring 'arry) and if you think they are then youre going down the JD route of thinking the league is fixed in united favour

I think the media love/ respect for Wenger only came after his slide began. When Wenger challenged Fergie and actually took his trophies in 1998 the media were firmly on United's side. We got the "not an English club" rammed down our throats all the time. We got how Fergie brought through his golden generation of English players all the time. Wenger got begrudging praise for what he brought to the game, but he was no media darling. Now that he is no longer a threat the majority of the media don't want him to go, and in turn tell those of us that want him gone to shut up and be careful what we wish for.

I don't think there is a manager in all of Europe, who would be given the grace Wenger has by the media, considering his huge salary, 8 years of abject failure and the contempt of anyone who dares to question his methods, I would say he has lived a charmed life.

I am sick of the hacks analysing wenger's job performance purely on past achievements and the cash comparisons with the chavs and citeeh  Where is their analysis of his tactics including the legendary one striker against the mights of bradford and blackburn ? Where is their analysis or highlighting the infamous 65th-70th minute substitute policy employed by wenger ? Why is there no real examination of the wage structure enforced by wenker which has seen us unable to offload much of the shite he has bought in recent seasons ? Why dont the hacks question wengers inability to motivate his players against bradford, blackburn, norwich, villa, swansea etc ?
The man is getting away with murder as far as I am concerned :x

Wouldn't you just love one fucking journalist to have the balls to stand up and ask him every one of those questions in a press conference?
