To be honest I can understand both sides of the argument but for me I will always hope that the Arsenal win. At the same time I wont critisise those on here that want us to lose because at the end of the day they have suffered like the rest of us with the hope that things might change only for it to be destroyed in the coming weeks.

Beating Munich tonight won't serve a purpose in the long run but if it gives us light relief from the abject misery of our current season and remind us of better times then surely it is worth it?

Agreed on the red bit. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and whilst I just don't agree with wanting us to lose I accept that many fans now are at that point and that is their choice. I also hate to hear AKB's calling said fans "fairweather" or "not true Gooners" etc because most of those lads have been fans for decades and have earned the fucking right to say what they want.

Was thinking the same thing myself. I am fearful for tonight , think we could get a right going over. Having said that I can also see the logic in some people claiming we can win. We can because we have the quality, but I think we won't because we don't have the heart , bollix and tactical awareness to do so.

The thing is, the fans have been humiliated so much over the last few seasons, that it doesn't really hurt anymore. Wenger has seemed to be immune from it, but recent press conferences would suggest he is "cracking up". A comprehensive, no way back defeat tonight, would make for a really interesting post match interview, where I would hope he would be asked directly if he thinks he should resign.
I honestly don't think we will beat Villa at the weekend so maybe just maybe "beware the ides of March"

I dont think deep down any of us want Arsenal to lose be it in the carling cup fa cup champ lge or whatever.But the truth about modern corporate Arsenal is that a win nowadays doesnt ever feel as good as it used to,we all know a shite performance/result is not far away..and we know that monsieur arrogant fucker will be exactly that afterwards defeats dont sting as much either,the numb pain is just a constant. I agree that wenker wont go mid season but other than a few days of immediate happiness, what else do you think the team producing tonight will accomplish ? Do you feel that what happens from here until the end of the season results wise wont have any affect on wenger and the clubs decisions in the summer ? Does it worry you at all that one or two good performances/results against a team like bayern will reaffirm the boards belief that wenger has the team going in the right direction ? Do you at least feel that good results/performances will allow the board to pretend that everything is rosy purely to keep a manager who is making money for the club ?

Believe me, it isnt easy to say this but it is my opinion that more bad can come out of a good result tonight than good
