ASTON VILLA (H)

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

We've only beaten them twice in the last six league meetings at the Emirates.

I agree. Ive a bad feeling about this one. Villa aint much cop but they need the points badly so will really fight for this. Our players know the season is finished and wont exactly push themselves the extra mile for this. 1-2 Villa

We must have sunk to a new low...........on SSN yesterday a reporter was interviewing agbonlahor (sp) and when told that Arsenal were interested in Benteke he replied, "I think he can aim higher than that" :?

Ah stop - ffs as bad as we are (and we are shit at the mo) I refuse to believe that there will be anything less than a home win and probably by 2 or 3 goals at that although the game won't be as comfortable as the finishing shoreline suggests

I tend to agree, but when you consider that we failed to beat Sunderland, Fulham, Swansea and Blackburn at the Emirates this season, a win against Villa is far from a certainty. I'd have said that we'd have swept aside the aforementioned teams quite easily, but we didn't.

I'm amazed you can still have any confidence in this team to beat any body

I'd agree that's most likely but I took the same bold approach to the Blackburn game...

I've always been a glass half full person sid  Seriously though, this villa team is absolute shite and as bad as we are we still have some players (wilshere, cazorla, podolski) who can win us games even with all the shite alongside them

First I've heard of it. Then again, I'm not really up to date on subversive action

8 years without a trophy? Other than that, we need the resident malcontents to tell us more.
