Bizarre Thread......What is a cookie?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Bizarre Thread......What is a cookie?

Post by SPUDMASHER »

I'm not on about the internet type, I'm talking specifically about the things you buy from Millies etc.

This has been bugging me for a couple of days now. On Tuesday I delved into the depths of my desk for some tippex on a roll (soooo much better than the old liquid type) and found an old cookie bag. Now, this bag must have been there for a couple of months but it still contained 2 cookies. They looked a bit grim so I threw them away but memories flooded back of the day I bought them. They were lovely and moist. Two months on, now clearly stale, they were still soft. This caused me to ponder the question of whether they are a biscuit or a cake.
We all know that cakes are soft and go hard when stale whereas biscuits are hard and go soft when stale. But what is my cookie :?: :?: :?:

Can anyone help? this is really bugging me to the point where I might be meeting up with Glenn Helder before long if I don't find the reason.

They're definitely biscuits. That's why they're always in the biscuit section of supermarkets

A cookie is just a biscuit with a different name. Americans call them cookies Europeans call them biscuits. No big mystery.
