Wouldn't worry too much about having to downgrade to red rather then Silver with the current state of things - Reds can get tickets for any game they want and if you're after the cheaper lower tier seats then there has been plenty of those on the ticket exchange for the big games this season.

ST holders who down grade are not offered silver its red. if you retained silver as was allowed until a couple of seasons back then fine. I have both so guess i am one of the lucky ones. I believe silver holders who get STs these days have too surrender silver.

I think this idea that there are huge numbers of 'new' fans who will take up ST's that have been given up is rubbish! So many people on the list are deferring for a year as they can't/don't want to pay over a grand to watch tippy tappy, no defence football. People just don't have the spare cash these days. I gave my ST up over two years ago, after having it for 30 years and boy does it feel great knowing I'm not lining anyone's pocket at Arsenal!!
When we finish outside of the CL places the crowds will drop to about 50k at best for some games next season, then the club will panic. Problem is, to make his profits, Kranky will ask his mate Wenger to sell Wilshere and he'll be gone, whilst Wenger picks up his improved wages on his new contract!
I said Wenger should go after 2008, he has been the death of Arsenal for the past 5 years.

I absolutely see the powerful statement behind giving up a season ticket. And I might be tempted if it was just home games we were talking about. But my 3 gold memberships have nearly 20 away match credits & that is our passport to the pick of the away games & guarantees us cup final tickets if & when we get to one again....
So while I wholeheartedly support those who take this big step, I won't be joining them. Happy though to become vocal inside the stadium.

I believe deferring has been stopped as well. Club want quick sales, theirs a frigging surprise.TeeCee wrote:I think this idea that there are huge numbers of 'new' fans who will take up ST's that have been given up is rubbish!
