ASTON VILLA (H)

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

First I've heard of it. Then again, I'm not really up to date on subversive action

8 years without a trophy? Other than that, we need the resident malcontents to tell us more.

He still has pain from a broken leg last season? More questions for the medical staff I'm afraid.

Also, should he be playing if he still has pain? Would that explain his poor form? Why not put Jenkinson in? Also, Wenger reckons Sagna can play at centre half beyond his mid 30's? Really? Is he on drugs?

Personally I think Jenks could be moulded into a 'Smalling-esque' centre back. I think his traits are more suited to that role, as for me, he is not good enough going forward, but has pace, good positioning and good spirit.

Sorry - u cant blame Wenger for an injury. We have one of the best and most sophisticated training and physio facilities in the world....Sagna has been poor because he isnt as good as he was post-injury, its nothing to do with Wenger playing him injured.

Sagna had his best game of the season at CB and i rememeber the CC first leg v Spurs a few years back when he came on at HT as a CB and changed the game.

Wenger has many faults, but Sagna's injury ruccurence is not his fault im afraid - he was MOTM just over a week ago!

That article by Gooner Ed was embarrasing, undermined any argument against Wenger with references to violence (whether intentional or not it was provocative) and the 8 min chant is disgusting, especially against Villa who do it for a valid reason ie: Lukemia.

Ive spoken to a lot of people and the online gooner has gone down in a lot of people's estimations post the publication of that, most believing had anyone else submitted it, it would have been severly edited.

Not a personal thing, but that article was an absolute joke.

I can't speak for Gooner Ed but I can surmise that the piece was written for one of two reasons -

1. It was written post game when anger and frustration is often at it's peak and sometimes people just need to vent

2. It was written out of desperation - many, especially me, are absolutely astounded at the lack of a real public show of anger by the Gooner masses and in that frustration comes a desperation to do something, anything just the let wenger and the board know how we feel. Tbh this is a train of thought that I am absolutely in agreement with - is it ideal, of course not but it is much easier to get people to join in when they are actually at the game as opposed to getting them out of the pubs to join a protest march  Whether you like to acknowledge it or not BDB, a protest against wenger is an absolute necessity - you have acknowledged the need for change and surely you will also recognise that the man is going nowhere unless the fans drive him out of our club ?
Leukemia is a serious illness and my thoughts go ahead to petrol cos he was always a player I liked so I am not trivialising his condition but the fact remains that our club has a cancer eating away at the club from inside out and the future prospects of AFC depends firmly on ridding the club of wenger and the Yankee c**ts

If Villa try anything other then parking the bus completely we will completely batter them. They are woeful, and the only team in the whole league I would bet on us beating.
