Possibly the least bothered I've ever been about the North London derby. The season ended when the ref blew the whistle at the end of the Blackburn game a couple of weeks back

I was indeed. In fact I broke my promise to myself not to spend any money in that fucking place. Mrs SteveO loves the cup and I actually bought tickets for the family and was genuinely looking forward to the game. The 'looking forward to it' element was soon broken when I arrived to discover that Lord A-hole decided he'd break up the forward line that had started to fire and play Gervinho up front, who duly missed the chance of the game on the stroke of half time with the sort of finish a Conference South player would have been ashamed of.

I've pissed enough people off with the moaning on here so took a break. Predicted since the start of the season that the 5th round would be the one where the useless fucker threw it away to gamble on the cup we'll never win that I despise more each passing season and the pursuit of the oh so exciting virtual trophy

Its now so predictable its hardly worth the effort moaning.

What followed? Oh yeah, more record profits and £123m in unused cash reserves.....but don't worry there's a promise that we'll be spending big in the Summer ! And we all know that will happen

Kroenke has just about killed any feeling I have left. A defeat to the shitbags from up the road will just be the latest in the slow death that has ensued since the horrible *word censored* took over

And the constant touting of that bloody BBQ - if I ain't pissed off enough with the CIC, you twist the knife with your talk of a celebration in his honour and it makes me suicidal :heads: Funnily enough, last weekend in your absence a few of us here decided to cheer everybody up by inviting them to your house for that big event

It's cancelled - official

When I read in the papers a week or so ago that they were considering his contract extension until 2016 it just confirmed another inevitability.

We need Usmanov to wipe the fucking Yank out and take over and quick about because the tosser and his sidekicks Gazidis and Lord Cuntface are killing the club with every passing week

All joking aside, it really pains me reading comments from another Gooner who has just had that last bit of hope kicked out of him due to the same level of incompetence that has us in this mess in the first place :( We all start out with real confidence, which then turns to anger, then maybe some hope before finally acceptance and resignation rules the roost :x To try analysise why things are the way they are is sometimes futile (doesn't stop us sometimes though  ) cos things are not gonna change anytime soon  One of my more consistent points on here in recent years has been, that for things to change people need to recognise the need for change and wenker doesn't see the problems so how can he fix them ?
Genuinely Steve o I feel your pain I really do....people deal with the pain in different ways but I am guessing that after last week, not handing over money to the club hasn't done too much to numb the pain :( We all can contribute to the thread about not caring anymore but the simple reality is that we will never be beyond caring

Augie - what hurts the most and the bit that shows no sign of changing, is that the very things the fans care about are completely out of sync with the things that the owner, his blood sucking CEO and gormless manager care about

The 4th place trophy is displayed in its virtual world as some form of badge of honour whilst for fans it will never ever be as exciting as actually winning something. The 4th placed trophy is worth £20m, the FA Cup about £2.5m and the League Cup under £2m.....but to some of us the joy of winning something is priceless, whilst the dubious honour of finishing a distant (25 pts plus) 4th place is worthless

Whilst our current owner is solely interested in the cash generation he will make over the next few years until he sells and whilst the CEO and Self-Harming Goon are incentivised to make it work for him, the fans wishes will always fall upon deaf ears

We have years of putting up with this still to come and the cycle will follow the same path. Sagna will be next out and we'll be told how Jenkinson is more than capable of filling his place. Wilshere will follow one day whilst consistent quality from Cazorla will see one of the top Spanish sides eventually come calling. All of these players will be replaced by substandard shit from Africa or over exposed youth players and the money making, FA & League cup sacrificing, soulless American franchise will continue to lumber itself towards a 4th placed finish

Forgive me for thinking what a load of boring, pointless old shite that is

What worries me is Wenger saying they have no special plans to contain Bale. The plan should be to take it turns to kick the monkey-faced diving little shitebag.

It is going to be hard to watch. Glad the missus is away this weekend or she'd get it!

Yet another master stroke by Wenger

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21628341

Arsene Wenger: Arsenal have no special plan for Gareth Bale

He is so sure that he alone is right, despite all the evidence pointing to him being wrong. A more arrogant man you'd struggle to find . . . . .

Can I ask what people expect Wenger to say in relation to Bale?

He's hardly going to admit to devising a special plan for the guy and that he's keeping him up all night worrying about what to do to combat him.

I'm not too worried about what he says to the press, because most of it is just lies and is totally unrelated to the actions he takes.
The problem I have is that he has previous to not coming up with a plan to contain a particular player and we end up getting ripped apart. It's these actions that need to be complained about, not the words in a press conference that he often treats with contempt

I quite agree but he is such an arrogant twat he will have nothing lined up. I mean, it's not as if they even train as a defensive unit. I can't believe they do much at all on that side of things.

I don't disagree. I found it most telling when Bayern changed the formation to allow Ribery and Mueller (I think) to gang up on Vermaelen and between them they ripped him to shreds leaving Sagna to almost play as right winger all game. It did make me feel, if it's good enough for Bayern...
