Realistically the only way we can qualify for the CL

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Why would we want to?

We've as much chance of winning the next general election.

Finish 5th & Jack's up for sale

That's as likely as us beating Bayern and going om to win it to be honest. Just have to face fact it's not going to happen.
thing that annoys me most about that is it won't make a difference to wengers position-board will stick by him regardless and nothing will change next season

Exactly - if the extent of our ambitions is 4th place we're more likely to fall below it than above it.

Today summed it up - not only are we going to finish below Spurs but we'll finish below a very fucking average Spurs side.

Not qualifying for it will be a joyous occasion in my household and I mean that 100% - if our management only care about money then losing that money is the only way to hurt them 8) If our manager continues to claim that top 4 is a trophy and success then how can he justify a season without it ? No champs league football next season will be payback and I am happy about it :barscarf:

To be fair, when we bought Poldi and Giroud in the beginning of the summer, I was optimistic. Then he went and sold the one that we should have signed and signed the one that we should have sold.

Yes and seeing as those legally unenforceable rules don't even come into play properly until the end of next season, what else is going to see us qualify? And who wants to anyway?

The only way we get into CL is if all of City, Scum, Chavs squads, get the plague and snuff it.

They will just sell Jack to make up the CL loss.

Spot on post.
How can any Wengerite not actually see that his capalbilities of steering a top flight club to any success has diminished.
He is like a lot like Audley Harrison. He briefly hit the heights and then, he realised it was too difficult to compete with his limited capabilities, so he decided to chase the money whilst producing the least expected of him.
