he should have been bought off early on..

Vermaerlen was even worse. a complete liabilty this year and has cost us so many points
Hugely culpable today for both goals, even if he is our only centre-half not afraid of his own shadow.

What pissed me off is after the game he stands there looking devastated yet he's fucking club captain and nowhere to be seen when the walls are crashing down during the game. No leadership whatsoever.

I've been telling people for over 12 months that Vermaelen is a very poor defender and now it seems people are realising it. He has no positional sense at all and charges around like Kolo used to when he 1st came in. Koscielny carried him for most of last season and now he too has gone off the boil. Our fans seem to think scoring a few goals each season makes him a good defender, he isn't nor is he captaincy material either.

Absolutely fucking sick of this shit. As has been the case in the last 3 derbies at their places, we've had more of the ball & looked the better team yet we lose because our defence is a piece of shit all because of Wenger's self inflated ego.

Please, please, please fuck off you stubborn french fuck. You are killing us.

Haven't read all the comments on here after the match, I am numb with pain, frustration and have a headache from shouting , swearing and having a half-time rant at my wife who dared smile at the score. She supports Arsenal and her laugh was one of resignation but I decided to take it out on her.
Thought we were as good if not better than Spurs, but we deserved to lose because we are not learning from continuous fucking stupidity. The two goals we conceded were schoolboy quality defending. I am sick of the repetitive mistakes of our defence , Vermaelen is in a season long meltdown. Mert has to be better than that. Szczesney does nothing for confidence. Monreal looked like a rabbit in headlights. In fairness to Jenk he shouldn't have been taken off, not world class but not our worsts today.
Why wait so long to bring on Pod,? ok he fluffed a chance but surely he would have been better than Theo or Giroud today . Thought Rosicky was our best player today, Jack was poor enough and Santi was literally on the edge of the game. I am beginning to question his big game ability.
Of course all the answers rest with the manager and sadly he will not be changing his ways, even if we get trillions of loot invested nothing will change with him in charge. I can just hear it "Ronaldo is a good player but signing him would kill Gervinho, anyway Diaby will return from injury in four years and be like a new signing"
Nothing will change unless it begins at the top. Europa league on a Thursday against unknown teams..can't wait.

Great tactics, great deffence v spuds today

Post by gra001 »

why oh why do we play so high up the pitch. Deffence is a joke, F....G Metrtercagar thinks he is playing in midfield his so high up the fucking pitch.
Great tactics taking Jenkison off and putting Ramsey in his position. Why did he not start with Rosicki and Podolski from the beginning instead of keep putting Ramsey ahead of both of them.

No fucking idea..

Still hugely frustrating and hate losing to those wankers - even with us as shit as we are they were still chasing shadows for much of the game and still resorted to cynical fouling and repeated cheating particularly towards the end. Although how our players could let Defoe piss around with the ball then pick it up in stoppage time when it was our ball is beyond me: someone should have steamed over and pushed the *word censored* over.

But it is by far the most painless defeat to Spurs yet, mainly because it was expected and partly because they proved how shit they still are and also because it's another nail in Wenger's coffin. It's just a pity he'll have to bury himself because nobody on the board will have the stones to sack him - what do you expect when he actually attends board meetings?

That was our highlight from the entire match.... I wonder, is it racist to throw a banana, or do monkey chants, at a white bloke??

Also that's now 3 wins in 17 league games at WHL. Sums up Wenger's failure to instil any real 'mental strength', pride and passion into our squads in the second half of his reign.

It's an absolute disgrace.

It summed up the day that the longer Adebayor stayed on then the more chance that I thought we'd get something out of the game. Once he was taken off I knew we were fucked....!

The midfield have to take responsibility for both goals, it'd have to be there responibility to: one, don't let those through balls through. Two if they do anyway, follow the opponentes making the runs from midfield.

Secondly, enough of this collective responsibility. People inside the camp needs to ask Walcott and Girud who are paid a fortune to win us games like these questions.

One positive to come out of this game....

.....we beat the scum 6-4 on aggregate :barscarf: :barscarf: !!

Only surprise was that Wenger didn't mention this after the match!

Just got back. As usual twas lovely down the swamp pit. Shame the commentators never go on about how quiet it is down that sh*thole when they're not dominating the game. Deathly quiet there till they scored.

The game...bit of a strange one, expected f**k all and for 30mins was pleasantly suprised that they'd turned up ready to fight for every ball, then the goals happened. Sitting in the upper stands behind the goal, each goal was disgraceful yet no real venom or anger from the away stands. Our support was class as usual.

I can't defend Giroud anymore as that's 2 games in a row he's been awful for. Should have been dropped for Poldi.

We are a joke defensively, the scummy wankers did not have to work for both their goals. A league one team would have scored those.

The scum will finish 3rd/4th and frankly it should hurt more but it doesn't.

We've been getting more and more shit for years and it's an indictment of the scum that it's taken this long to finally finish above us.

AW has now lost all the things he's clung to to keep his job, no more top4, no avoiding being beaten by lower league opposition in the domestic cups and now no we finish above them. We are back to where we were when he got here...time to go.
Actually no we are worse....we had a defence back in 1996.
