As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
I thought we did ok today, they didn't really threaten much apart from a spell in the second half hut it was typical shoot yourself in the foot stuff, first real attack, first goal, the story of the season.
I'm dreading the run in, on paper the fixtures look ok but you know we are an easy target now.

Secondly, enough of this collective responsibility. People inside the camp needs to ask Walcott and Girud who are paid a fortune to win us games like these questions.
We don't defend properly as a team. Reason we looked good today for 30 minutes was because, like the first 5 games of the season, we pressed hard high up the pitch and won the ball back in the opposition half.
But although the midfield didn't exactly provide great cover today the first goal was a good run but as usual we have no communication and one or two players deciding to step up/drop off, and the second goal was our left-back's man who he failed to pass on to the centre-half who was ball-watching.
I don't know whether you're expecting Wilshere to be matching Bale stride for stride as he's sprinting through or for Cazorla to be running into the centre-half position with Lennon? It's not how it works. They're two attacking midfield players and when they're trying to run behind the lines it's the defenders' responsibility.
They were both actually quite simple balls to play through because our defence was a shambles. We should have been doing the same thing at the other end but Giroud's movement was truly awful and Walcott was actually being marked and when he did look like getting in behind blew it by poor ball/woeful control.

Heard that as usual they behaved like they scum they are outside the ground when our lot where queueing up at the train station. Absolutely right on the second point as well. Watched it on the box and could hear our support for a lot of the match.
ALL of our central defenders are average at best. We don't have a single decent CB. Vermaelen has been shit, and I mean utter shit, for 2 years, not 2 games, not 2 months....TWO FUCKING YEARS! The BFG seems clueless on positioning and turns slower than an oil tanker. Koscielny has a couple of decent games then commits some stupid brainless act that results in a goal against us or gets sent off, he's probably the best of a bad bunch and that's not saying he's great!!......don't even get me started on Djourou or Squillaci!!
Team that win the league have great strikers, you don't have to have the best defence to win the league. Just look at Arsenal's striking options.....Giroud, Walcott and Podolski.....you cannot count Gervinho as a striker....how fucking useless is that line up? It has 5th or 6th place written all over it and that is exactly where we will finish. This squad has such little talent apart from Wilshere and Cazorla and they won't be here for long.
Arsenal are fucked, seriously fucked and it will take years to recover and we'll have to take a huge loss to just dump all of the shit that Wenger has given extended contracts to over the years.
What a disaster.

Our (Wenger's) obsession with 'technical' centre-halves has inevitably come back to bite us in the arse. Koscielny and Mertesacker have both had periods of form but at the end of the day neither of them will make a really good PL centre-half because they're both scared of their own shadow, won't win headers and shit themselves when strikers use their bodies. In addition to that Kos is prone to a regular brainfuck and Mertesacker is painfully slow and clumsy. Vermaelen is the only one of them who actually knows what it requires to be a centre-half in this league. Unfortunately his judgement lets him down too often, but I wouldn't be averse to seeing him in a proper defensive unit where he was coached and marshalled properly. Unfortunately he's meant to be in charge of this rag-tag bunch on the pitch.
I have just got home from the shithole and cannot describe how angry I am. Fuck wenger and all those useless bottle jobs wankers.
I swear now that I will never go to another game until that useless shit *word censored* and his second rate rejects have fucked off out of my club. Not one more penny will those fuckers get off me.

Wasnt it einstein who said doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result is madness or something along those lines
Ya we have a French lunatic at the club who does that
Who cares where he comes from?
My thoughts were that Wilshere is better deep midfield, which also means Cazorla can play in his better position behind the striker rather than wide.
If I was Coquelin I would be looking to move in the summer, if Ramsey is preferred as a right back.
