McDowell I have never denied I have a dialogue with his people throughout the 56 pages of this thread that I posted last May.
Kroenke is a cancer that is eating away at our club and Gazidis is employed to spread the virus.
I don't care which billionaire , Arab , Chinese or whatever takes over our club but any chance to help anyone get rid of Kroenke must be taken .
Even if the ante Usmanov faction remains, the ante Kroenke camp increases with each defeat and we must all unite and come up with a strategy to try and make him and his family so unhappy that they get on their private jets and fuk off back home, permanently

Augie, sorry mate absolute bollox.
at 30% he got to his mini target but a handful of shares here or there will make no difference now as if and when he was to buy Kroenke out then a purchase of all other shares becomes irrelevant.
Usmanov was at White Hart Lane and will be in Munich and still cares a lot more than many.
Fine but my desperation suggests that it is time usmanov makes his move and rids our club of the smarmy blood sucking c**ts running our club. Reading things suggesting that usmanov is going to sit tight infuriates me tbh cos imo usmanov is our last hope and the light in that tunnel seems to be getting smaller and smaller and further and further away

I have never hidden my support for usmanov so I obviously didn't mean those comments when I likened him to kroenke

How many managers will we go through before we can expect to sort out this shambles ? Personally I don't envisage any manager being given enough time to sort things out cos I don't think people realise the extent of our decline - bad performances and results are frustrating but a new manager will inherit a squad overloaded with shite, a seriously flawed scouting system, a failing coaching system and a diabolical medical staff. That new manager will be walking into a club that has seen apathy take over both within the club and amongst the fans. The stench of failure will pollute the place like some nuclear bomb. The morale within the squad will be as low as a snakes arse after enduring season after season of screw ups and question marks about club ambition will all over the place. If we are to allow this shambles to continue for another season then for me we may as well write off our chances of success for the rest of this decade - people may feel that it ott but just remember that while a new manager is trying to turn things around, other clubs that were ahead of us will continue in their efforts to stride away from us and won't stand still to allow us catch up.
It is for all these reasons that I want a change at the top now - I know it is easy for me to demand that when I ain't the one needing to she'll out a kings ransom to buy the club but let's face it, usmanov has the funds (and then some) and if he allows this to continue then his investment to date will be going down the shitter anyway

Augie
Please can someone with a better understanding of takeover law explain how Usmanov can make a move now?
OK, he can offer Kroenke a fortune for the shares, but what if Kroenke decides not to sell?
There remain only a few shares not owned by either man, not enough to make a difference.

I think that too.clockender1 wrote: my guess is, whoever drafts the letters from R&WH is behind this leak,
The language of the leak information and the language of Red&White press releases is very similar.

My understanding is that IF any individual wished to buy up shares they can attempt do so at anytime so not sure what your question is about

The crux of this whole issue centres around what usmanov's intentions are - if he doesnt wany any more shares or would like buy kroenke out but doesn't see it happening for whatever reason then this club is fcuked for a long long time and we may as well surrender the white flag imo

This is quite possibly the worst thread on here... full of ITK bollocks without one shred of proof about anything.

This doesn't really fit on any thread, but not worth starting a new one. Look at the name of the excited lady from Vietnam when she heard the time might going there in the summer. From twitter

Phúc Tít @goonergirl1993
@Arsenal i cant control my feeling right now! I'll see my love in my VietNam.

Excellent- Is their any thread with any comment that has any proof on this or any other site.
These sites nare an opportunity to express opinions and get off chest, if it was restricted to facts then what a fukin bore that would be.
fyi as the starter of this thread , i am delighted that 58 pages and 9 months on it is growing in interest and contributors .

Re: The Board-Takeover Rumours-Accounts-Kroenke etc:
Quartz- I know ( fact not bollox db10) the PR company that are acting for the alleged bidders and they are very experienced in football PR but are not the same company that act for usmanov in the uk. ( not to say there is not a tenuous link)
Personally ( not fact db10, my opinion) I think there is a link based on other things i been told but as discussed umpteen times if Kroenke wont sell its all irrelevant.
problem is that usmanov rightly believes we ain't worth 20k a share and as much as he wants ownership, his wealth is a lot down to being a good businessman and knowing the value of a £ or rouble.
My main personal fan gripe is not so much that Kroenke wont sell or that Usmanov won't bid but the fact that they cant work together and put 2 billionaire brains and business acumen together to act in the best interests of the club.
If Josh Kroenke takes an active involvement from the summer then the best we can maybe hope for is a breaking down of the barriers of communication between the 2 main shareholders.

Would you rather wait until the summer (at earliest) and then have the saga drag out all over the off season ?
My question was centred around your wish that Usmanov "Makes a Move".
As far as I can see, along with buying up the small amounts of shares not owned by himself or Kroenke, the only significant move he can make is to offer Kroenke big money for shares.
What other move can Usmanov make if Kroenke will not sell?
From what I can see that circumstance would be stalemate.

Point acknowledged.

Most of this thread is discussion of genuine concern for the future of our club.
One that in my opinion, looks grim under Kroenke.
Sometimes people do know the odd bit of info, I have always said that.
The club is not an entirely hermetically sealed entity, people do know people who work there and things do leak out from time to time.
Re: The Board-Takeover Rumours-Accounts-Kroenke etc:
Everybody slags Kroenke off but whose fault was it that created the situation of having two potential rivals for the takeover of the club so that the price would shoot up .
Step forward Wide Boy David Dein and Clock end Danny Fizman.
Kroenke and Usmanov have paid a shit load of money to these shysters far more than the then worth of the club and the toupee doesn't want to put any more into the club !
It would snot surprise me though if this mystery middle east buyer is a spoof from the club themselves in order to spur the Ugly Uzbek into making a move to buy the club 'cos at the moment he's just festering in the corner making Jabba the hut impersonations !

Re: The Board-Takeover Rumours-Accounts-Kroenke etc:
But Herd, people of the wealth of Kroenke and Usmanov are big enough and seasoned enough to decide whether the price is right to buy Arsenal shares or not, regardless of anything Fiszman did.
Fiszman tested the water, and they went for the bait.
Dein was a major shareholder, but outside the board at the time of takeover, and at least he sold to Usmanov to hope Usmanov would complete a takeover, in an initial attempt to get Dein back working with the club, in an unspecified role.
I am not keen on Kroenke, but with Fiszman knowing he had little time left, what other options were there?
I know people have suggested that the shares be passed on to the next generation of board members' families (if indeed all of these have children?), but if that was an option why did it not happen?
There must have been a good reason why not.

Hindsight and that degree in foresight that my dad said was the best you could have !
fact- we can't change what has happened
fact - we cant force anyone to sell shares
fact- we cant force anyone to buy shares
opinion- we can try and influence change and communicate increased dissatisfaction, thats the summary IMHO.
Many suggestions has been made and many tried regarding protests but I really would like to see a large multi faceted protest at the last home game against Wigan (ironic re 2006 highbury era) .
My personal request is for as many people as possible to boycott and encourage the boycott of anyone spending any money at or around the stadium at all at the Wigan game.Programmes, merchandise, drinks, anything and everything- its very hard to stop everyone going to the game that have paid their hard earnt money (and of course don't forget the lap of honour thank you that everyone is so excited about.) BUT we can protest and try and demand change.
