Its over 100klm from munich but there is plenty of trains and busses. Takes about 1hr 30 min into munich. Staying in hotel near main train station. Is Marienplatz the place to meet or hofbrau house.
People I've spoken to and a few Chelsea lot that went last year said marienplatz , big square with bars around it similar to Milan , Irish bar killen or something just near by aswell , , fuck that's a fair trek from the airport , gotta love Ryan air , bet it was cheap though

Ah Marienplatz it is so. Classic ryanair alright. Munich west when really its an airfield in the middle of nowhere Yeah it was cheap 80 Euro return. Got return flights and hotel cheaper than 1 way flight with aer lingus. supposed to be decent trains and busses from memmingen town(Hopefully)

Rumour has it that the optimistically named "Munich" West is also variously known as "Milan" North, "Paris" East....or even Dublin "terminal 3"....  !!

Stansted to Frankfurt on Tuesday evening for me. One night's snooze in Frankfurt, then morning train getting into Munich just after lunchtime. 5/6 hours drinking time before the match, followed by a night in Munich. Morning train back to Frankfurt on Thursday, evening flight home.

The "guff" was very uninformative this time around. Certainly no mention of a particular area where fans should gather....which I would normally try to avoid anyway!!
