sp*rs (a) match thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Frank, what's your question..?
I think our failure to win the league in 99 and 05 can be part attributed to tactical failings

Come on cut out the abuse :)
Not understanding why admonishments are plural
Bard posts pathetic ad hominem attacks he'd never dare deliver to a strangers face
and I'm partly to blame? Piss off

Is that a joke? My post was about the Arsenal
Bards was about me
Your told us to both to calm down,
I just pointed out claiming some kind of equivalency between those two posts is nonsense

Fucking hell JD haven't you got anything else to worry about? I asked you both to calm down and stop the abuse as i could possibly see it might get out of hand after OBG's post. I didn't single you out and leave him alone, it was to everyone - just tried to put the fire out before it started. That way no warnings, bans or any shit like that just a quiet, friendly word and we can get on with being pissed off about losing the the scum

how should my calm manifest itself?
all I'd done is post that despite Wenger's strategic failings, he's been a good manager with good players
is being 'calm' not posting anything that might make Bard throw himself to the floor and cry?
Jeez Louise this board has got sad...

Steve is 100% right: attempt any semi-positive analysis,
stray from the standard toys out of pram crying whining, hatred of the manager,
you can expect personal abuse - then mods including you in general admonishments

I disagree with (most) people on this board,
but I've never fought against people's right to hold their views

if certain viewpoints are banned, be up front about it - rename the board Arsene haters only or WOBarmy or whatever
don't ask people with any kind of positive nuance to 'calm down'

I don't mind you having any opinion you want and the same goes for Steve I who i think is a very good poster even though he is pro Wenger (the posters i apparently hate) but JD can't you see that i was trying to calm things down before they got out of hand. In my opinion you could have flared up after reading OBG's post and therefore a call for calm before the Scheiße hit the fan was probably the best road to go down :?

I am more than happy to say anything to your face JD - Name the place and time.

However I doubt you would be willing to do the same - to those you have 'Trolled' YES! "Trolled" over the past few seasons...you seem to forget or not fully realise the 'effect' of some of the things you have said......But for the sake of harmony(ish)..I did over-react...and apologise I was extremely 'drunk' at the time...No excuse just FACT..

btw: my offer to meet anyplace anytime still stands...for anyone...I'm the first to admit if I'm wrong or have reacted overtly...'But I also stand by what I do and say...regardless and am willing to 'Man Up'

The thing is you seem to delight in winding up people when they have stated their opinions - Not just because you happen to disagree - but it very much feels and seems like you enjoy doing so....I could be wrong, but from the various comments I have heard expressed (in person) from others I don't think so...at least not all the time.

also Flash and DB were just 'Modding', so it's unfair to blame them...so ave go at me by all means....
