Bendtner; The Leg-end

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

You have to say though that they don't get those 100m. They have to pay to produce them, pay taxes etc etc but still it's an important point.

Btw is it really true Bendtner doesn't have to go to jail at all and will lose his license for only 3 years?

He scored good goals and important goals but the fact is one cannot judge him on goals alone. Bendy spent a lot of time dropping into midfield and out wide in an attempt to actually make us bring the ball from the back and get it forward without just hoofing it. This often meant we were left without a striker but it was needs must and Bendy cannot be blamed for it. This season without Bendy we've been the most boring, shite in possession team in the league. All we needed was Fletcher last season with Bendtner playing the role in behind him, there he'd have been free to link play, drift wide and get in the middle sometimes to get a few goals. He's not a target man type which is how we tried to play him, he is a more cultured footballer than that. He played class, he linked play, created chances and still got a few goals to add to his decent number of assists, he was mint.

And rodders, Bendy was cleared of damaging cars, only Cattermole was charged

we can't go around banging up footballers just because they broke the law. Everyone knows footballers are a special exception, people's moods and actions are dependent on football players playing football. If we started jailing footballers for commiting crimes there would be anarchy.

I'd probably buy a Bendtner Arsenal shirt as well so I can wear it on my next random Arsenal away trip. Be better if he just came home to Sunderland mind.

Plus Bendtner is more than just a footballer, he's the representation of an ideal of truth, honestly, love and justice. And he's beautiful. We should all follow Bendtner.
Brilliant.

I was in quite some shock when Breno from Bayern Munich got a 45 months' imprisonment even though he's a footballer

Yeah Darren Gough (nobend) phoned them up to ask for a Bendtner shirt - they didn't know who Bendtner was at first and then they tried to encourage him to get a different players' shirt.

Looks like two people have one now.
