Why does everyone hate Eboue?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Hlebby, I'm not going to come back again on this! I realise you are not one of those who jumped on the Eboue-hating bandwagon, but I do honestly think plenty of people have done just that. As you know, I don't particularly rate Eboue but I hate the double-standards that I think are employed when people talk about him.

The guy is clearly out of his depth at Arsenal.
Pre Chelski did anyone see the look of utter bewilderment on his face as Gallas was giving the pre match 'gee up' talk. He didn't seem to be following at all.

Yes he's an embarrassing cheat and can't hit a barn door from 2 yards. Why he is constantly in the team ahead of Diaby and Walcott is beyong me.

A reasonable defendef but a useless midfielder. African Nations cup was a blessing in my opinion!!

I hate Eboues antics (pretending he got hit in the eye on Sunday was a perfect example) but he is a very handy squad player. He just shouldn't be starting for us.

Pretty much sums it up for me.

His antics disrupt the team - that's my main issue, ala Lehmann, its all about him!

He's a liability and he adds nothing to the attacking side of things - appreciate its not his fault that Wenger plays him RM and not RB.

Apart from that I find him highly amusing.

i've run out of patience in waiting for him to go back to his 'champions league final run' form, it's been downhill since. it's just frustrating to watch now, sell him quickly.

Eboue has no goals and only one assist this season  I got it from a reliable source, the official Premiership site. So we can’t see his contribution, the statistics back that up as well  8)[/quote]

If a player who plays on the wing has no goals and only 1 assist you could still like him if you think he gives 100% and trys his best every min of every game. But EE looks lazy to me and his diving is a regular embarrasment. As far as I'm concerned the sooner we sell the better. I would like to see Theo given a run in team till end of season if he steps up then he is ready for next season.

We have a pathetically small squad, so its not like we can just ship out every player thats not world class. No one has 22 Theirry Henry's in their squad.

Eboue is a twat but he's still better than nothing. Why don't we just get rid of everyone and keep Cesc Flamini and RvP?

He isnt a winger, cant stand his antics and should be a squad player - not first team.

Its been a very long time since a player has been disliked as much as him (Judas, greedy, mobile phone loving crunt excluded)

Eboue reminds me of a spoilt, little, attention-seeking child.

I don't want him at Arsenal.

The vast majority of us feel the same way.

Nobody has jumped on a bandwagon. We have our own opinions, based on what we see. He is not skillful enough. His behaviour is shit. We would be better off without him.

Well I don't think that's true, is it? Sure, he shouldn't be in the first team, but he isn't a bad player, and if he cut out the whole 'being a *word censored*' thing, he'd actually be pretty useful.

However, unfortunately, he is a *word censored* and it doesn't seem like he'll ever change, so I suppose we should fuck him off!
