Swansea away.

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Arteta will be replaced if we start being ambitious again, he really is only a stop gap.

central defensive options on paper aren't bad either, just need better coaching
I think it is the worst defence that we have had since the mid 80's . Dead shaky , a general lack of pace , loads of silly errors , injury prone . Would you seriously put any of the back 5 in any Arsenal team in the last 20 years ?

Not a great performance for 75-odd mins. Vital win though.

Finally, Wenger's subs (although late) made the difference here. Both Gervinho and Ramsey ended up forcing the pace of the play. I think that Diaby slowed it right down.

no, but we've only really "had" 2 back 5's in the last 20 years, 1 of which was probably the best ever, and the other went all season without losing a game! so being worse than them isn't THAT shameful :P
