Corners/Set pieces...why so sh**e

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Corners/Set pieces...why so sh**e

Post by topgoon »

This article by the Daily Hate makes sobering reading for some but doesn't tell us anything we didn't know

.http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... -team.html

Even at Manure van Rapist is still sh*te at corners. Walnutt...enough said.

It just amazes me that it doesn't get better. After watching the u21s in the nextgen semi it's pretty obvious that for our lot it's almost genetic.

Scoring from them is even worse, a few times they've tried our GG days old routine of flicking from the near post and I think it's come off once and they almost seem to have abandoned even trying it. Then again what's the point when you know Walnutt/Santi's corner will be sh*te anyway.

simple - not enough practice.

If you stood at a corner flag and practiced putting it into a 10ft round area, you'd be able to do it pretty often after a while.

its the coaches fault, simple as.

they don't practice any set pieces, same as they don't prepare for any teams or vary their tactics.

Exactly, its just "keep the ball" "retain the ball"

No clue with free kicks or corners and can't cope with our opponents, who do have routines that they practise :banghead:

Pathetic today. Cazorla needs to stop taking them, he must have failed to beat the first man on about 5 of them.

The point I was trying to make is how shocking that they are all so bad.

Not just us I mean. United,Scum.

More amazing thing is Villa who can't stop conceding from corners seem to score the most from them :?

It beggars belief that we don't practice them. We get so many corners, it should be mandatory. :banghead:
