Player wages....Toure, Walcott et al

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

You have to take into account that 3pm Saturday games can't legally be shown England. So the game by game showing isn't going to happen.

Why not? Previously in the NFL - if a fixture was sold out - the club was allowed to show the game live on local TV - this I believe has fairly recently been relaxed to 85% of ticket sales resulting in games being allowed to be shown live on TV. How long until the Glazer's or Kroenke advocate something similar in the UK?

In the near future the Premier League will offer live games via legit online streams, mobile devices and satellite TV - for a price of course. The PL is desired world wide with people in Africa, Asia and all over the world shunning their own local leagues and teams in favour of the top English and European clubs. The money is pouring in from all over the world, not just us mugs who can be bothered to go to the game.

Maybe not in the immediately foreseeable future but over much of Europe you can buy a package to watch all of your club's games, regardless of kick-off time. It's a logical step for a greedy sport that is increasing TV revenues year on year.

Were such a proposal put forward now I don't think as much support would be given to greedy clubs like Arsenal who fleece their fans and still fill their grounds as has happened in the past. The case with the landlady of the pub in Wolverhampton that won her legal battle and the fact that many large pubs near major grounds (including Phibbers) show 3 o'clock kick-offs suggest to me there wouldn't be anywhere near as much opposition to this as some people think.

You should be able to pay to watch any of your club's games on TV to be honest. The "no live football at 3pm" rule is stupid and should be scrapped. I don't really think it would affect the small clubs revenues too much and the fact is they're all just businesses for profit now anyway, why should you not have freedom of choice to protect the income stream of a limited company? If there's a new Batman film out would they prevent it from being shown in certain places because a local independent cinema might suffer? The clubs need to realise that there is a demand for games to be televised and should alter their business strategies accordingly. Takes the piss that someone in Dubai or the states can (legally) watch our teams in pretty much every game whilst, if you can't make it to the stadium to watch in person, people here can watch very few
