Newly crowned Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich will target Arsenal centre-back Laurent Koscielny in the summer, according to the Mail. Bayern will be managed by ex-Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola from next season and it is believed the French defender is on Guardiola's list of new recruits.

Arsenal striker Lukas Podolski is reportedly concerned at his lack of playing time at the Emirates this season.
It is believed the 27-year-old former Bayern Munich star is worried he has lost Arsene Wenger's faith and reports linking him to Atletico Madrid and Juventus have only served to increase his fears. The Sun has also linked Galatasaray and Anzhi Makhachkala with the player.

Re: SUMMER TRANSFER THREAD
Ashley Williams talks begin, Stephan El Shaarawy interest. @ Goal.com
Goal.com has just unveiled one of their exclusives and they claiming that Swansea’s central defender Ashley Williams, or at the very least his representatives, visited the London club for talks about his future.
Arsenal are reportedly very keen on the Swansea captain as they seek to bolster a defence that has pretty much undermined any chance they had this year of a Premiership title shot.
The site also suggests that Arsenal are keeping tabs on Marseille centre-back Nicolas N’Koulou, 23, who is apparently looking for a move from the French league this summer.
Of course Arsenal will face strong competition from Liverpool for Williams’ signature. The player has a connection with the Red manager Brendan Rodgers. However Arsenal may be able to offer Williams Champions league football, and at 29 the player may be sorely tempted.
Meanwhile there are murmurings, reported by Touchline Talk, that Arsenal, are also tracking Stephan El Shaarawy’s situation at AC Milan.
Apparently the player appears to be unhappy after two years at the San Siro, and could be on his way out in the summer.

Re: SUMMER TRANSFER THREAD
The only thing making that lardy Jack bastard wannabe Williams look half-decent is the fact he plays in an extremely organised team who get men behind the ball. And even then it's alarming how often he is caught out of position etc.
Put him in our lunatic asylum of a defence and he will be twice as bad as any of our current centre-backs.

Along with El Shaarawy scoring just twice this year for Milan, they both now look nailed on for a pursuit of their signature.

Senegalese Star Targets Emirates Move.
Arsenal have been given a boost in signing Anderlecht defender Cheikhou Kouyate at the end of the season. The Senegalese international admitted that he could make a move to the Emirates if Arsene Wenger make a bid for his services this summer.
The 23-year-old revealed the north London club are keeping a close tab on him in the last few months. In addition to this, Kouyate earlier claimed that he was close to joining the Gunners during the last summer.
"I am happy here but if Arsenal called me to go to London I would have no doubt about going. I hear they have asked for some information on me from the last few months," the Mirror quoted Kouyate as saying.
The Senegalese international has made no secret desire of joining the Gunners and has already revealed that he will make a move away from the Belgian champions at the end of the season. Should Arsenal prepare a deal to sign the player, it could see them spend £5m to land him in the summer.
Kouyate's versatile style of play of either playing as a centre-back or in the holding position is likely to strengthen Arsenal's sqaud, if the Gunners manage to sign him this summer. However, the Premier League side will have a tough competition to land Anderlecht's star as the Mirror also claims Ligue 1 outfit Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in his services.

Re: SUMMER TRANSFER THREAD
Just don't see us signing a new centre back. Wenger won't actively look to sell Kos, Vermaelen or Mertesacker.

Re: SUMMER TRANSFER THREAD
Williams is no better than what we already have. As said above he looks better because of working in a well organised defence but put him in with our lot and it'll be the same old same old...

With any luck he won't have to make that decision this summer.kiwomya wrote:Just don't see us signing a new centre back. Wenger won't actively look to sell Kos, Vermaelen or Mertesacker.
