Back from the game. 3 good points in the end. Two Arsenal observations : 1) Thought Wenger indulged himself/Wilshere by playing him. If JW needs a break until next season, then do it,wasn't in the game today in any sense and seemed a bit ''big time'' today 2) Gervinho...whatever the issue is with Podolski it needs to be sorted. Whilst not the beast of a goal scoring forward we need he is at least a bit of a goal threat. Walcott, love him or hate him, did more in his first 30 seconds on the pitch than Gervinho did all game whilst he was on. Gervinho is truly awful,in my opinion.
A word on Norwich - used to have a soft spot for them. Lovely city, lived there for a couple of years, nice club and always played decent football. Thought today they were like Stoke ''light''...hoofing,ambitionless,time wasting and tetchy/spoiling and they will lose any neutral appreciation if they carry on like that.

I'm so relieved about today's outcome that I'm not sure I can be arsed giving my true thoughts on the performance, however, very briefly....

1. We basically pissed away the first 60 mins of the game by returning to our frustrating old ways of subconsciously allowing the game to drift along as if we had all weekend to win it  - we lacked energy, drive and seemed reluctant to press them high. It's not the first time, and it won't be the last, but it's almost as if we need the pressure of being the underdog to get the best out of the team :? - as soon as we get into a decent position, we get too comfortable and lose our edge :?

2. We were VERY lucky. A linesman giving a penalty like that is almost unheard of!

3. Gervinho was back to his ridiculous best  I know he's got a large head, but there's no excuse for a professional footballer not to get his head up. He's oblivious to who and what's around him.

4. Why wasn't Chesney even on the bench again?

5. It's results and not performances that matter, so credit where it's due... we pulled off a victory that looked beyond us with 10mins left! 8)

6. Sp*rs fans (and hopefully players!) will have been hugely deflated by our linesman assisted comeback today.... that makes it all the sweeter :barscarf:

Funny how MOTD completely ignores the blatant dive that resulted in Norwich scoring, in the first place.

The real Gervinho was definitely back. Jack should not have played, if he plays against the blue dippers, we will lose.

We actually created openings in the first half that if if they'd put away we would have won this game easily as going forward, Norwich were absolute garbage.

It was pretty obvious they would get their goal from a cheap set piece goal.

They can f**king moan all they want, their goal was from a dive of a free kick, scored by the same c**t that hand balled in the area yet Mike Jones doesn't give a penalty. And justice was when the c**t that dived to win a free kick off Gibbs gives away the penalty.
And how come ex scum player Hughton didn't notice the barge on Walcott in the penalty area which should have lead to a penalty.

We lacked a cutting edge that the subs for once sorted.

Nice save from flappy near the end.

Not lookng forward to Everton, we need to bring our f**king A-game or we will lose that.

I think I was happier when we didn't have a hope in hell of finishing 4th. Still think deep down it'll be 5th but f**k it we're here now might as well make life difficult for those scum and chav fans till the last day of the season.

IKR but tomorrow it will be 'lucky Arsenal' in the papers and Spurs fans will be moaning about how refs supposedly favour us.

Just saying that no- one appealed (outright lie as at least 2 of our players did) and that the lino gave a corner when it shouldn't have been too

Suprised he can see anything at all he is so caked in make up.

by the way the best anagram ever is Neil Warnock = Colin Wanker how apt.
all around me were up appealing for a penalty
i thought i may have missed something listening to the radio this evening about how we were lucky
just watched it again and giroud was hauled down
absolute stonewall

Imagine being a spurs fan tonight.
Absolutely, he's been in solid form for some time now.

Where's that yankee dandee bloke to tell us he's the worst professional footballer he's ever seen?
To be fair he was the worst player in an Arsenal shirt at the hawthorns last week, it was the general consensus. He needs to toughen up, cut out the lazy passes and silly skills and do the simple stuff.
no way was ANYBODY worse than Giroud v the Baggies

Our penalty came as a result of Rambo's persistence and willingness to fight a lost cause when he squeezed a corner for us.

All successful teams need players like that.

I'm starting to like the lad more and more with each passing game.

An awful game of football where we barely made their keeper make a save and where we had 49% possession.......a Norwich City side that has won 1 in 18 away games and looked exactly what they are......a team full of 'honest professionals' and little more

Boring, slow paced sideways crap until eventually Lord Shitforbrains did what the whole crowd were urging him to do and bring on 3 players at least prepared to run directly at the opposition, inject some pace and get them on the back foot

Amazingly another game I attended where I watched and waited for the mythical 'good shift' of our resident goon wearing number 12 and what I witnessed was a big powderpuff almost always outmuscled and who now seems to have adopted the Arshavin role of flicking everything off the side of his boot when its played into him........if only he had 10% of Andrey's talent it might occasionally come off. The bloke is utterly shite - one of the worst AFC centre forwards I have ever had the misfortune to have to watch

Not just that they threw on David Moyes to analysis the games. How can a manager of any team be objective at thi stime of the season? He (Moyes) thought it wasn't a penalty....he brings his team to the same stadium on Tuesday in a vital game..mind games with Tuesday's ref perhaps ?
Funniest of all was the MOTD team of the week...three victims' players in it. They drew 0-0 at a virtually relegated team. :D ..
Tony Gale said it was a foul but not a penalty, over on RTE they say the refs need help from assistants but not that kind of help. At Old Trafford or Anfield it would have been a fantastic decision showing how officials work together :?
