There's also another factor to why I hate him so much, it's how friendly he is with the player or player(s) marking him, dusting them down, constantly shaking their hand, he was hand in hand with one of them when Arteta was actually taking the spot kick. He's not nasty at all and imo, he needs to change this aspect of his gay game quickly.Brady's left peg wrote:I quite like the song but only when its merited....... and its better than having to listen to one Arsene fucking Wenger all the time.franksav63 wrote:I'd rather that he wasn't here at our club so it isn't sung at all, but why is it sung everytime he shanks a shot and it hits the corner flag?highburyJD wrote:and his song is brilliant, love a bit of originality at last
or would it be better to just sing Super Super whoever to every fecking playerIf it's sung for encouragement then it's plainly not working!
As for Giroud...... too lightweight and a girls blouse to boot. I fucking hate it when he gets clobbered hard (but not over the top) and he starts rolling around in fucking agony waving to the bench. Man up you fucking tart and grow a pair your playing for the Arsenal not the fucking scum!
Besides that, I thought he was starting to develop a good understanding with Podolski earlier in the season and there were signs of that in the final 10 minutes against Norwich.
But if it comes down to a straight choice between him and poldi....... no brainer, Podolski every time.
Olivier Giroud - Another Alan Smith or "Le Chapman"?

Re: Olivier Giroud and Alan Smith
After a few seasons on FIFA 13, Giroud is rated 92 and has the complete striker trait
Giroud does knock down balls to the real footballers well gets lucky goals and seems more surprised when he scores than we are.

As much as I'd like to see Giroud do well with us (and he might do, if used correctly as part of the 2 in a 4-4-2 Arsene!!franksav63 wrote:There's also another factor to why I hate him so much, it's how friendly he is with the player or player(s) marking him, dusting them down, constantly shaking their hand, he was hand in hand with one of them when Arteta was actually taking the spot kick. His first season, and for me he done reasonably well.

Re: Olivier Giroud and Alan Smith
Absolutely agree. First season, different country, culture and far superior league with more physicality and pace and playing in a role that doesn't make the most of his few strengths. He has done quite well, but tbh I also don't think he has enough to be the long term answer to our striker requirements unfortunately. But again, I go back to the point about Wenger not using him effectively. Who knows how much more he might contribute if he was played correctly in a proper system?EC3 wrote:His first season, and for me he done reasonably well.

Agree.
If I think back to when we had Bergkamp and Henry, a player like Giroud would be third or even fourth choice behind Wiltord.
Except in this squad Giroud is first choice.

That type of perspective really shows how far we have fallen since 2006.QuartzGooner wrote:Agree.

Re: Olivier Giroud and Alan Smith
He'll be hitting the bench when we sign Jovetić.

Re: Olivier Giroud and Alan Smith
He should be third or fourth choice in this squad.... Podolski is a much better striker than him and I would also say without a trace of a smile that Walcott and Bendtner also are.QuartzGooner wrote:Agree.

Re: Olivier Giroud and Alan Smith
A world class striker turns games like that from 1 pointers into 3 pointers. Giroud will never be capable of doing that. It's a miracle we're in contention for a Champions League spot with a front man of that "quality" leading the line week in week out.
Re: Olivier Giroud and Alan Smith
if i was Podolski id be feeling so insulted that that crock of shit Giroud gets picked over him every week, when the fark is Podolski gonna get his chance up front, never!! Wenker you are a class A *word censored*
