SUMMER TRANSFERS - Your thoughts on who did and did not sign

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Expect media frenzy linking us to him then.
Arsene knows.

Suppose he is an improvement on Gervinho.

If QRP get relegated then the perennial Loic Remy will be back in the mix too, though I think he would be a decent addition if the price is right.

No he isn't. Gervinho is shit but he can actually get past a man, Kalou is f**king useless. He's useless at Lille and that's why he wants out. It's one thing taking players from Lille that helped them win the league but this tw*t is awful. I'd rather that other Lille reject, Joe Cole and he's been waste of money. :cussing: :banghead:  :box:

If AW buys Kalou then I night even start giving away games a miss. :cussing:

The guy is sh*t. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :cussing:

Gervinho can get past a man, sometimes.
Othertimes he is so unorthodox it appears that even he does not know what he is up to, let alone his team mates or the opposition!

I would not advocate buying Kalou (8 goals in 21 league games for Lille this season), but a better quality player of similar style with his directness would in my opinion have a place in our team which to our detriment relies too much on sideways passing, slow build up and "overplaying" the ball.

Quartz. You are the master of under statement.
:D

If we signed Kalou, well....................all is lost.

Unfortunately, Kalou, Loic Remy and Ligue deux are where we shop nowadays.

It actually amazes me his team mates don't get more angry with him. If I was on the pitch with forehead he'd have had his enlarged forehead caved in by now. All those wasted chances, wasted passes :banghead: :banghead:

I am now "The Master Of The Understatement" as well as "The Thread Merger".

At this rate I will have more titles than James Brown.

Ever since the board used it’s tried and tested “War Chest” ploy to divert the anger of those who had the temerity to question our commitment to excellence we have been linked to every want away player on the planet.
At the end of the day I doubt if we will buy more than 3 players with a total outlay of 20 million which will be offset in part by the 10/15 million we get from Juventus for Podolski and Sagna !
