Emirates Cup 2013/Galatasary and Trouble at Overseas Games
Re: Galatasaray at Emirates Cup/Trouble at Games Abroad
Dein was a wheeler dealer wide boy whose career in trading sugar and other commodities was chequered to say the least.
He took control of Arsenal for less than 3 million quid but couldn't pay for it which is why the very wealthy clockend Danny fizbang came in too and then wouldn't sell Dein back the shares like he promised .
JD on the other hand is a well known Islington socialist whose real name is tom watt !

I believe Dein's lifestyle, his football administration career (incl the always doomed World Cup bid)
is totally built off the back of his leveraged Arsenal investment
my real name is, disappointingly I guess, JD
present company may think of 5'8" as 'Lofty'
but in the real world I'm short (dark and handsome)
my socialism is of the champagne variety, ultimately capitalist red in tooth and claw
I do believe enterprise is encouraged, and the economy is stabilised, by a significant safety net
PHW is currently overcharging us, but his money still comes from elsewhere - the City and his family

Re: Emirates Cup 2013
Has this been 100% confirmed that it is going ahead by the club on the 3rd and 4th August as I am booking my flights for this on Monday?

Emirates Cup 2013 - Confirmed
The details for the Emirates Cup 2013 have been announced with PSG, AC Milan and Shakhtar Donetsk the teams invited to take part. A pretty strong-line up compared to recent years.

Who is to say that the disgruntlement felt and expressed by a lot of gooners when the story was first touted - and not just those on here - hasn't had an impact, and that the club have tactfully made a change from their original plans based on that?
