Cheap teenagers tickets

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

A big increase in the number of season ticket holders that didn't renew last season and a much bigger number expected not to renew this summer added to a large number of empty seats at almost every home game = a cheap scheme designed to fill the expected empty seats next season  When you see the amount of tickets that went on general sale this season then one couldn't but be concerned at what will happen next season and this scheme, despite being great for all the teenagers out there, is designed to mask the noticeable decline in support these days. I remember when we used to take the piss out of the chavs a few years ago for selling their tickets on general sale and via radio advertisements :(

From a personal viewpoint this isn't a fair scheme imo although our fans representative groups will claim a moral victory regardless  I understand the club need to secure the next generation of fans but where is the reward for the season ticket holders who have shown their loyalty over a number of years/decades to the club ? Shouldn't we be the first group that should be looked after ? :? I have two season tickets as things currently stand and am very close to not renewing this summer but a £100 discount might have been viewed as a gesture of appreciation and might ave influenced my final decision

Yes charge a tenner for teens for the Cat B and C games which cant sell out anyway but come Cat A games you pay the full price. As you say the fan groups will claim a victory but the cheapest price for a Cat A game will still be £62.As for the club losing £400k with this scheme lets put it into prospective thats a months wages for Wally Walnutt

Jesus you lot are easily taken in by the club's spin. JG currently pay £14.50 for Cat Bs and £10 fo cat Cs. So the only revenue the club will lose will be the £4.50 for the half dozen or so cat Bs, about £25k. Whoopy fucking do.
